[DEAL WITH IT] I just accidentally 0.0km INTERESCT
Astronomer replied to Astronomer's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Persicely my thoughts! It seems to be much easier with lighter craft thus the higher your chance of getting it (wait whaaa). I intended to dock with the orbiter, but I didn't expect to get it right away like THIS -
[DEAL WITH IT] I just accidentally 0.0km INTERESCT
Astronomer replied to Astronomer's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Update: As I made my orbit around the Mun, the intersect turned out to be only a few inches away from the orbiter. Talk about sniping. Boy, was that worth it. This time however, I will try to dock with it normally (image of me perfectly docked 2001 style) -
[DEAL WITH IT] I just accidentally 0.0km INTERESCT
Astronomer posted a topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Yep, accidentally. I was going for a direct ascent and as I adjusted my inclination and saw this. Keep in mind that I am flying on a VERY light craft, so it might have had something to do with it: Also, I find myself lucky in these things - makes me wonder how will the intersection look like if I don't burn anywhere xD PS: My Ascending/Descending nodes are equal to "NuN" -
I can't believe i did it! - landed on the mun!

If you used quicksaving or cheat menu, it doesn't count. -
This major historical event will lay the foundation to the future of space exploration. The future of the Kerbal kind. This flag will stand in hotor to all who gave their lives for this achivement, and those who will follow their path of ultimate sacrafice. -Nedmy Kerman

not my pic, but I figured it's relevant

That doesn't seem to be the case for me however.

That is absolutely hilarious!

What is Moonkun?

How did that decoupler stay on without being upside-down?!
-
There are many ways to do it in real life, but in KSP you could put an orbiter at say 200,000km. Than measure the amount of time it takes to orbit each planet on that specific distance (just a guess, might be the same result). Amd to determine size, you need to know the size of at least one planet (Kerbin). Then it's all just relative.

Before anyone starts explaining anything, this is obviously a troll - don`t overfeed it.

My left kidney just swollen.

There were more, actually

Make sure you know how to change your inclination first. A minmus has a very tiny gravity, but slippery surface. I suggest using the same rocket as you did for the mun, just make sure it can handle hills and a trip back home. Oh, and RCS is mandatory.

LOL! I did a familiar task in mid-school, had no idea if it would fly, yet it did (I called it Soyuz) xD Some help would have been be great too.

How do I get the Ion Engine from the Deep Space Pack to work?
Astronomer replied to Evenger14's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Try installing the 0.17 Perodobodobeasdsfdgklsfsfds mod, it has an ion engine in it too, see if that works (it does for me). http://www.kerbal.net/mod.php?id=62 -
IN GENERAL If its too heavy, add bigger engines. If its too big because of fuel consumption, add many small engines instead of big ones. Try to keep the rocket as small as possible, but with boosters on da bottom.
