    @SpaceBirb when is 2.0 releasing?

    @SpaceBirb any Dev pictures???

Development has been slow, mainly due to school and lack of experience, especially with 3D modelling. Tundra version will probably release sometime next month, but I can’t promise that. Full 2.0 expected early July at the earliest to late August at the latest.

I apologize for the lack of updates, as school has taken up most of my time.

Will the 2.0 version be compatible with Kerbal 1.2.2?

By default, no. However, if I have time I can make a branch of 2.0 that will support 1.2 - 1.3 using firespitter. The release of 2.0 will by default only support 1.4 and up, and 1.3 and lower may need several script audits to make them compatible.

    Hi @SpaceBirb,

We're sorry, but we've had to remove the download link-- the issues mentioned above are still not fixed:

We know it's a hassle, and we're sorry about that, but it can't be helped.  :(

Please address the following concerns before putting the link back:

    • OP of this thread needs to specify what the license is.
    • The downloadable mod package itself (i.e. the zip file from the hosting site) needs to include an actual license file that contains the full text of the license (i.e. not just the name of the license, but the whole shebang, legalese and all).  It looks like you've already got the LICENSE file on GitHub, just need to make sure that it's included in the zip file.

Thank you for your understanding, and again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

No worries! I plan to reform the whole OP later today, which will include license info. An update will be pushed as-well to include a text file of the license. Thanks for letting me know about this!

This is a good idea. The requirement to overwrite files from SpaceXLaunchVehicles is currently preventing this mod from being indexed in CKAN, because overwriting another mod's files is treated as a conflict. If this does get resolved, please let us know at

    Hey!

It's been awhile, the link for that pull request is no longer working. B5 1.4 and up integrate texture modifications through MM now. I have submitted an Issue on NetKAN for this, which includes .ckan and .netkan files. However, If I set SpaceXLaunchVehicles as a requirement, the .ckan can't be generated because it's listing on CKAN only lists it as supporting 1.4.5, and B5 supports 1.4.0 - 1.7.0, as SpaceXLaunchVehicles does work on 1.7, but is not indexed as such. So I changed the requirement of SpaceXLaunchVehicles to suggested, although it is a dependency.

Hey umm i really liked your mod its really cool I like that you can make block 5 falcon 9's/Falcon Heavy's (I was getting tired of just block 4 boosters)anyways, I was having fun until 1.6 rolled around and suddenly the B5 textures were all gray.Don't know what happened and if it can simply just be repaired with an update or i did something wrong. After all when i downloaded it for the 5th time on SpaceDock i saw it said "Mod outdated use at your own risk." so I kinda believe it can be solved with just a update but about 25% of me thinks i just did something wrong.

Btw tell me when a new update comes out so i can delete the old files and replace them with the new files

Update on JAN/8/2019 : Going to download the files for the 6th time hoping that an unspoken update has already gone online by the time im writing this i have not done it but after this arrow i will -->Ok again haven't loaded up KSP but i moved the B5 folder into the Launchers Pack folder again, after the arrow i have already done it. -->No.. it..it didn't work time to add a new and hopefully updated .Nope all the parts are gray.

Thats cool space bir(b)d! Quick question, have you fixed the bug or is it on me XD

I think this bug has something to do with KSP 1.6 and not the mod. It could also be something to do with the Launchers Pack mod, as the latest version only officially supports 1.4.5. I have it installed on 1.6.1 and can see that some octoweb textures are grey aswell. It works perfectly in 1.4 & 5. So I'm betting that it has something to do with 1.6. I'll play with the configs a bit to see if that fixes anything! Thanks for letting me know about this!

  6. Hello Everybody!

Just to let you guys know, this mod will be overhauled in the coming weeks, more realistic burnt textures

and octoweb textures will be overhauled and updated aswell. Hopefully I can start making Legs 2.0.

Sorry for kinda abandoning this for 6 months, have been busy with school and such.

Hey! Really cool mod, but i have a question, i want to use this in RSS and RO. but the problem is that all the configs i found would add the real fuels, but it would overwrite the textures and have only one texture. if you have some good configs then please provide me some, Thanks!

If you could link me the configs, I (if permitted by the license) will modify them to work for you with the texture pack!

    Sorry for the long response.

Hi SpaceBird :) i don't understand, i'm putting the extracted files into game data/launcher packs/rockets/spaceX/ and it wont change anything, i still have the white block 4 falcon 9, any ideas on how to fix it ?

    Hello!

You may be doing a couple of things wrong, installed the wrong version, forgetting a dependency, etc.

First off, if you have KSP 1.4 and up, (1.4,1.4.1,2,3 etc.) you'll need to download B5 V1.3. If you're running KSP 1.3.1 or lower, you'll have to download B5 V1.2, and use firespitter for texture changes.

If you have installed it correctly, you'll have to right click the part that you want to change textures in order to display the texture-changing menu.

If you still have trouble, please let me know!

I have a question: How does this not overwrite the original textures given that the files you say to replace the original ones with are smaller (and therefore can't have all the data in the old textures)?

It may be because of the B5 texture format mainly being formatted in .png, and .dds. Instead of the regular textures being formatted in mainly .dds. Adding png's may compress the file size a bit. Other than that, I'm not too sure. As for the configuration files, they are the same format, and therefore larger. But the size of the textures is smaller because of different formats.

  11. Hey all!

Just updated B5 to V1.3 to add support for v5.2 of the LaunchersPack, and stock module.

    However, with your regard

would it be possible to not replace the original configs, but rather make a module manager patch for the changed parts?

I myself am also puzzled on how this would be possible. I don't see it as not being possible, however I am also inexperienced with MM myself. So if anybody has any suggestions as to how to complete such a task, please let me know!

    Thanks!

  13. Greetings!

    I'm kinda new around here!

I can't wait to make new friends and content for KSP. I've already made Block V Falcon 9 Textures for @Kartoffelkuchen's SpaceX Launcher pack. And I hope to make more things in the future!

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

    Things I plan to make:

    - "Plus" shaped solar panels for communications satellites.*

    - More fairing textures for the SpaceX Launcher pack.

    - Gold-Foiled Texture options for structural items and spacecraft.

    - Other things I haven't thought of yet.

    * (Although I have no knowledge of scripting or modeling. I'm mostly a texture guy.)
