It's a good point and of course I keep it in mind. At this point it's hard to say how much it will be "integration" vs "replacement". E.g. the stock inventory GUI on my personal taste is not good and barely useable. It works OK when you only have 2-3 parts, but I don't see how this system can be used to construct something really big (100+ parts). If I find a way to disable only the stock GUI while leaving the rest of the functionality working, then it can be a solution.

there are some utilities like repair kit for solar panels and antenaas which are very useful in some situations

  2. just updates 2 mods (kerbal engineer redux and deepfreeze continued)  , ksp crashed twice in the past (these mods were downgraded) but it loaded normally , this time it got stuck at end of loading

The warning reads that the mod may not work or be disabled.
In my case, it is always disabled completely on new version. It's not that it doesn't work, it's that it won't work, because it's designed to shut itself off.

If you see that warning pop off and the mod suddenly appears to be not present at all, that's a pretty good indication that you should wait for an update.

won't work , i have tested it in a mk1 chute , there is no real chute module , the chute won't budge and have a staging...

  4. really:mad:?! I though that this update will be much better than the good old KIS and KAS since we would no longer have errors and also more features too until I discovered that is was MUCH WORSE as you can only use STOCK ONLY items for inventory (i have seen some mods who can work with it too but its limited and low) the space exploration doesn't make sense if you can use non-stock items such for life-support mods like kerbalism and also for science mods too like DMagic orbital science (yep i know its old mod but it still works fine..) , I would really appriciate to see modded items to be used for these new containers too :D.

Overlapping threads have yet again been merged.   Please do not crosspost identical or similar questions in separate threads.   It only leads to confusion and fractured answer/solutions.

As has been mentioned to you multiple times, your mod load is the most likely cause of your issues.  Try reducing the number of mods you are running, or try removing mods until you find the culprit that is causing your issue.

sorry , also this bug its completely random removing and checking may take a long time

  6. i posted it here for attettion i just got this issue recently after 1 hour of ksp gameplay at any moment at loading screen (not that initial loading screen that you get when you start the game , that one when you revert flight , switching to vessels and etc...), flight reverting unloading vessels , going back to KSC will sometimes result in the ksp freezing up and unable to load whats unique about this errors is that the kerbal space program constantly uses the hard drive without stopping even after 1 hour (much more than the initial loading itself) which indicates that there is a constant read/write error loop of a speicific file maybe stock (or maybe modded since i use mods) for more details check up these topics:

Any time I close KSP 1.8.1  I have to completely restart my Windows 10, 16 gig RAM, machine to restart the game -- otherwise I just get hung on the first loading screen.

Checking the task manager I'm not seeing any instance that I can identify of KSP still running in the background.

Does anybody have any pointers to anything like a cache that I could manually flush or a process I could stop?

seems like to be an unity engine error , are you sure you have the latest versions on direct x , open gl and the graphics card driver ? if this didn't help then open steam , go to kerbal space program click local files , then choose launch option and type -force-d3d11 despite as performance booster it can solve issues too

  8. what i have done (major mods involved:OPT , engineignitor, kerbal joints reinforcement , KSPI extended) i have built a space shuttle out of skratch and i have tested it completely (launch, orbit ,re-entry and landing) after i crashed i decided to revert the flight to VAB in order to fix the design fails and then error happaned

ERROR details: the game appears to not have crashed but to be frozen on a loading screen (black screen with a loading logo on bottom right) a clear indication from(toolbar controller) indicates that the game has loaded the vab but it won't finish the loading the game doesn't respond for 40 minutes (more than the initial initializing loading time takes) AN IMPORTANT DETAIL: the hard drive was overloading from the kerbal space program application (the computer runs smoothly but KSP is tottally frozen from overload) at can be an indication that ksp in the loading tried to write (or read) something on the hard drive but it failed constantly. the .craft file wasn't modified and my HDD is in great condition (also CPU is not used by KSP during the froze). mods installed:

  9. what i have done (major mods involved:hangar mod , space y heavy lifters expanded , tweakscale , kerbal joints reinforcement stockaline space station extension pack , KSPI extended) i have built a space station module for my existing space station (1 module is already docked)  and lift it into a rocket from space Y heavy lifters (expansion mod) and i docked to the station (after many effort) later on the station started to wabble (kraken) and then i time warp 5x then 1x for the kerbal joint reinforcement to take place and it worked , the wobble stopped then i decided to go back to space center and heres when the loading error happaned

ERROR details: the game appears to not have crashed but to be frozen on a loading screen (black screen with a loading logo on bottom right) the game doesn't respond for 40 minutes (more than the initial initializing loading time takes) AN IMPORTANT DETAIL: the hard drive was overloading from the kerbal space program application (the computer runs smoothly but KSP is tottally frozen from overload) at can be an indication that ksp in the loading tried to write something on the hard drive but it failed constantly mods installed:

Step 1- right-click KSP in Steam, then Manage > browse local files. This will open the KSP directory.

Step 2- Go up one level and copy the Kerbal Space Program directory.

Step 3- Paste the KSP directory into your external drive.

Step 4- Congratulations, you now have a copy of KSP that is completely outside of Steam's control, so won't break mod compatibility with each update! You can now safely delete all the mods out of the Steam version, download previous versions of the game (right-click KSP in Steam > properties > Betas tab > pick the version) and keep multiple copies of the game at different game versions with different sets of mods installed. Steam's habit of updating the game when an update is available will regularly break modded installs so it's always a good idea to copy it somewhere Steam can't meddle.

You can have as many copies of the game as you like- I currently have 9 on my external SSD: unmodded copies of 1.7.3, 1.8.1 and 1.9.1; lightly modded versions of those that I use for mod testing and/or bug checking; a 1.7.3 game containing my first career; 1.8.1 with a 'stock plus' career that was meant to be just stock plus cosmetic stuff but ended up with a substantial number of parts mods too ; and my current focus, a 1.8.1 JNSQ career. Whenever Kopernicus gets updated to work in KSP 1.9 I might try and upgrade that JNSQ version to 1.9.1 by cloning the 1.9.1 stock version then adding all the mods from the 1.8.1 JNSQ version, both using CKAN, then copying the save game over; I already did that to bump it up from 1.7.3.

If you're going to have multiple copies of the game with different sets of mods or on different game versions, I highly recommend using CKAN as it does most of the hard work to make sure you get the right mod versions for your version of KSP; it can also clone an existing instance, which is why I keep copies of the base game, and can copy the mods from one instance to another even if they're on different game versions, although it will often complain loudly about incompatible mods and you'll have to force it to install them despite its protests; it's also worth remembering that not all mods are on CKAN for a variety of reasons and there are some hidden gems in the mods section of the forums or on spacedock/curseforge for you to discover as well.

are you sure that the KSP.exe doesn't have a copy protection that checks for steam before booting ?? many steam games have this , also how do i apply fufure updates (ex ksp 1.9.3)
