  1. Well, whaddya know. I tried a fresh install, simply copying the stock Steam install to a different location, different hard drive even (where I put my modded KSP installs). I used the same copy of CKAN from my other modded install, and added the new install folder. Whelp, Spectra installed just fine. huh Perhaps the crash reports from my above post would help figure out what happened there. Regardless, I do like how Spectra looks. I'll hafta compare it to SVE to see which I prefer. I'll also start adding the mods from the other install to see if it continues to work. Spectra includes dust storms, geysers, scatter object, etc. Yes? .... Is there any way to add rings around Jool?
  2. The game runs great with that mod list. But that's not the problem. Also, I did indeed uninstall the SVE before trying to install Spectra. Didn't realize SVE Terrain isn't compatible tho. However, the thing is, I can't even GET to the install point. Like I said, CKAN itself crashes as soon as I click the box next to Spectra. Pretty sure that doesn't have anything to do with the mods I have installed. And I mean AS SOON AS I click that box, BAM! CKAN crashes with those messages and screenshots. Sure. I'll try another clean install. But again, it's CKAN that crashes, not KSP.
  3. Ah, okay yeah. I hadn't considered that they were using blackbody color scale. I guess that makes sense, tho not that visually intuitive. It'd be nice if we could choose the color map for that. Thanks.
  4. This mod certainly looks useful, installing it right now via CKAN. Thanks. I found this while looking for a mod to change the stock temperature overlay colors to something more intuitive. The whole "red is cold and white is hot" thing is really .... I dunno .... why they chose that color scheme baffles me. I was wondering (hoping) you might be able to change that in this mod. Something that goes from blue to green to yellow to red to white, or similar. That'd be awesome. I've been able to find nothing else so far that can do that. And rather than request a totally new mod, I figured it made sense to ask you, since this mod is already covering part temperatures. Again, thanks.
  5. Hello. I've been away from KSP since like v1.0. The announcement of KSP 2 got me re-enthused, so I've been getting back into it. Last night I decided to start exploring visual mods and UI mods. As to visual mods, I decided to try and compare SVE, Astronomer's Visual Pack, and Spectra. I'm using CKAN. Sadly, every time I simply click the box for Spectra, in CKAN, it crashes CKAN right out. I've taken a sequence of screenshots of CKAN during the crash, which I post at the bottom here. One of the crash windows has text. Here is the text of that window: Unhandled exception: System.InvalidOperationException: Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute. at System.Collections.ArrayList.ArrayListEnumeratorSimple.MoveNext() at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ExitInternal() at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.OnThreadException(Exception t) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProcException(Exception e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnThreadException(Exception e) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtrlparam) at System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.DispatchMessageW(MSG& msg) at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ComponentManager.System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.IMsoComponentManager.FPushMessageLoop(IntPtr dwComponentID, Int32 reason, Int32pvLoopData) at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.RunMessageLoopInner(Int32 reason, ApplicationContext context) at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.RunMessageLoop(Int32 reason, ApplicationContext context) at System.Windows.Forms.Application.Run(Form mainForm) at CKAN.Main..ctor(String[] cmdlineArgs, KSPManager mgr, GUIUser user, Boolean showConsole) at CKAN.GUI.Main_(String[] args, KSPManager manager, Boolean showConsole) at CKAN.CmdLine.MainClass.RunSimpleAction(Options cmdline, CommonOptions options, String[] args, IUser user, KSPManager manager) at CKAN.CmdLine.MainClass.Execute(KSPManager manager, CommonOptions opts, String[] args) at CKAN.CmdLine.MainClass.Main(String[] args) And here is the text of the final Windows crash report window: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: ckan.exe Problem Signature 02: 1.26.4.0 Problem Signature 03: 5d542170 Problem Signature 04: mscorlib Problem Signature 05: 4.7.3062.0 Problem Signature 06: 5ab95126 Problem Signature 07: 6c41 Problem Signature 08: 22 Problem Signature 09: System.InvalidOperationException OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Here are my installed mods: "DistantObject" "DistantObject-default" "DockingPortAlignmentIndicator" "KerbalAlarmClock" "Astrogator" "Scatterer-sunflare" "SVE-Terrain" "Trajectories" "TransferWindowPlanner" "RasterPropMonitor" "ModuleManager" "EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements" "Kopernicus" (In CKAN it reads as "Kopernicus Planetary System Modifier .. there's numerous Kopernicus addons I see) "ModularFlightIntegrator" "RasterPropMonitor-Core" "Chatterer" "ChattererExtended" "AviationLights" "ContractsWindowPlus" "CapCom" "ProgressParser" "ContractParser" "KerbalConstructionTime" "RealTimeClock2" "Timekeeper" "Toolbar" "WaypointManager" "MagiCore" "ClickThroughBlocker" "Scatterer-config" "Scatterer" "PlanetShine" "KS3P" "NavballDockAlignIndCE" "ManeuverQueue" "PlanetShine-Config-Default" "ResonantOrbitCalculator" "ToolbarController" "StockVisualEnhancements" "SVE-HighResolution" CKAN and KSP are up to date, as are all drivers etc. System specs: Win 7 64-bit Pro AMD FX6300 16 gigs RAM Radeon RX580 Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 audio interface (aka soundcard) anything else you need to know, let me know And now the images, in sequence (links to Google Drive so as to not overwhelm post with images): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1FPgLzE4EBnx2QE1qiuLwp6a7epwlT0NQ https://drive.google.com/open?id=1m20x_kTmhp8_-tK36CrXVnq-mA3z9OFD https://drive.google.com/open?id=1AZGVanUaQATvZG2jcQeDL8SVDQDSYJD5 https://drive.google.com/open?id=1jZvRCr4Ex25n6PCiCUFRhvihmma_6mvq https://drive.google.com/open?id=1mniZmakgahvbmEr3ORk00gmEwLvlITJ_ https://drive.google.com/open?id=194pr_KL85HGYwrvok08-pcyuauTrDeOT
