  1. Here is my nonfunctional 16-kerbal Laythe SSTO failing to orbit Kerbin. I eventually replaced the LANTRs with nuclear lightbulbs, but that didn't look as cool.
  2. Wow! This is amazing! I'm having trouble even getting my four-kerbal Duna quadcopter into the air!
  3. Usually I use either a single core stage or a core stage with 2 or more identical boosters, but if I have just a core and need a bit more delta-V I add some SRBs. And yes, I sometimes use fleas as well. I once strapped 16 of them to an advanced reusable kiloton nuclear-gas-core lifter. Unfortunately the lag caused me to stage the boosters when they were still burning, causing the largest nuclear accident since I crashed a nuclear salt water rocket into the KSC 2 (don't ask). My new nuclear lifters use a pair of hammers with parachutes, because it's just hilarious watching 21 mighty lox-augmented gas core NTRs loft interstellar ships to orbit, aided by a pair of tiny Hammers.
  4. Yesterday, I was messing around with some reusable rocket designs, and came across this. I call it "Pretend Fire Animal" after the Thing Explainer, and it's one of my best reusable designs yet. It can land three crew on the Mun, and if you refuel it, it can return to Kerbin and land propulsively, with parachutes as a backup. Unfortunately I forgot to take screenshots of the booster landing, but it has probably the best handling of any booster design I've made. And it's also my current lightest Mun lifter. The ascent was flawless, and it had extremely good handling for a rocket with no fins or RCS. The first stage is powered by a single Kite engine from Near Future Launch Vehicles, and the upper stage is powered by a Ulysses from CryoEngines. After circularization, it fires a Poodle to get it to the Mun, and the second stage deorbits itself. It has a heatshield and some parachutes stuffed in the cracks, but I just didn't care to land it. Finally, it landed on the Mun with its monopropellant engines.
