  1. Newbie question warning! I'm making ground docking activities to prepare my kerbonauts to perform spaces fancy stuff! I succeeded docking two vessels but the only way I found to transfer crew between vessels is performin EVA. Shouldn't be possible to have kerbonatus to pass through docked doors?
  2. Hello everyone. Found a link to this thread in an article suggesting mods for KSP. I've read the author introduction but I've no idea where to find the donwloadable zip files. here there's code but not a clear link to the two Zip files I should download as mentioned by the author. Same way I didn't find any clear installation/setup procedure. Any help is much appreciated.
  3. Thankyou jimmy. That list of suggestions were what I basically attempted myself. I discovered the biggest problem is actually the unmanned POD. Replacing it with a mk-1 with a pilot works... while using one of those cheap prod with the same exactly rocket shape and stages makes it becoming very unstable. I think I'll try add lot of reaction wheels.
  4. Thank you all. Getting a bit of theory is always better as both learning and puttin it in practice is part of the fun. I added actually tons of fins and all but that seemed not being enough. I'll care about weight distribution and have a look at the suggested thread
  5. I'll try it. You mean boosters too? I mean if you have a big rocket you have to put on orbit would you add boosters close to the tip of it and not at the bottom?
  6. newbie question! dealing with some contracts that demand for puttin in orbit pretty heavy stuff I always stumble into a probem of this very big rockets I make that I can't control. Basically the problem is that as soon as the direction marker moves from zenith it just point down and the rocket start twisting and flipping. I think the problem is mainly the center of mass of the rocket but I could not figure out how to solve it. I've also made complicated structure to move down the heavy parts but that didn't work. What am I missing? is there a technique of missile buildings or some very basic strategy I'm missing here?
  7. I didn't add any solar panel actually assuming I would have used the battery only for communication. The whole thing now makes much more sense. Thankyou
  8. I'm in career mode, pretty newbie. Till now I had no battery (not yet researched any component into the electricity stuff). Then I added a battery to opearte an antenna. I just realized when I run out of charge the ship rotation stop working. (No matter actually if I'm using a SAS or manually). I wonder why is that way. I mean... before adding the batteries I have no charge problem... sounds weird to me. I added a component and then I have limited possibilities? I'm a bit confused about it.
  9. Thankyou. I like a lot this career mode and contracts approach so I think I'll just make a little effort to get enough research point to gain aviation. All very clear but I'm not sure what you mean with "touch a building a do a science experiment". I already did some experiments like temperature and so on in various situation gaining some points but I don't understand the "touch building" part. THankyou a lot in any case
  10. I'm a total newbie so I apologize if my question sounds stupid but I'm kinda stucked and both browsing web and using this forum I couldn't figure out a solution. I probably did some wrong choices in my research path. Anyways I'm not able to build a plane yet, I think it's needed at least "Aviation" research and I can't afford it. Still, most of available contracts are about reporting activity above specific kerbal sites which, I guess, are meant to be done with airplanes. At this point there are two options. Either I find/wait for some contracts that would allow me to gain enough research point to get "aviation" (very few and hard) or I try to gain search point differently from contracts (how?) or there's a way I don't know to perform those contracts with a simple rocket. (Sounds quite challenging to find out a ballistic trajectory to get there and land somehow safely) (sorry for the rough english, it's not my first language)
