Two days ago I was making it to Minmus, four days ago I was making it to the Mun for the first time. And today I made it to Duna for the first time. The SSTO was crewed by Jebediah and Bill and midway through the flight I noticed I was not in a transfer window but I ended up being able to get into a orbit around Duna and actually saw Ike for the first time.

The first time I was trying to land I landed on the dark side of Mun so I suspect the solar panels didn’t get sun light since the Mun blocked it or it didn’t have connection to the KSC. When I tried landing on the Mun a second time I tried landing on the light side of the Mun so the solar panels would still get sun light. The same problem happened but now I know it’s probably connection to KSC and not the panels getting enough sunlight.

Oh ok thanks!

Oh ok, but am I more likely to crash when trying to land then on the Mun or am I less likely to crash?
-
Thank you! Do you know the amount of meters per second you have to be going though?

Heading to Minmus Status: Success Crew: Jebediah and Bill Today I visited the most delicious moon of the Kerbal system Minmus. I basically thought it would be like getting to the Mun and it was, but just had to move the Prograde handle farther out. After that I waited to get in the SOI and did a capture burn. Finally I made a maneuver to get into a Minmus orbit, and next time I think I am ready to send some other Kerbals to Minmus.

I know right.

So I am trying to get a rover down to the Mun surface. But their is one problem I don’t know what to use to get it down I tried monopropellant engines but that just flipped the craft. I want to try parachutes but I don’t know if they can work when trying to get down to the lunar surface. Does anyone else have any ideas that isn’t to hard to build and fit on a small rover? I got it to work with the monopropellant, but still feel free to list your ideas.

Here is yet another mission report. Status: Success Crew: Jebediah and Bill Here’s the story: I was using my SSTO called Nuke-12 to get into a lunar orbit and I actually did. I just a made a maneuver to get a Mun Encounter. Then once that was done I time warped to get into the Mun’s SOI. Next I burned Retrograde to do a capture burn (I think that’s what it’s called). Finally I made a maneuver to get into a Lunar Orbit. There was a few problems like accidently messing up the orbit while circularizing and passing the maneuver time of one of the maneuvers. (I am working on a picture)

So I was trying to send my SSTO to the Mun. I did all the maneuvers you had to do to get into a Mun encounter, but when it came to trying to get sucked into the Mun’s SOI I failed to do it. So does anyone know where the Mun’s SOI is I think it’s when you touch the “Mun encounter marker” but I don’t know. Anyone who does know please reply.

Space Plane Steering Left
Little Kerbonaut! replied to Little Kerbonaut!'s topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Oh, okay thanks! -
Hello again, today i have another challenge that isn't to hard but isn't to easy. The challenge is to send a space station into Kerbin Orbit in 15 minutes or less bonus points if you can get into a Mun orbit in 15 minutes or less. It doesn't matter the size of the space station or the height of the orbit. My best time I believe was 12 minutes. Points: 14 minutes: 5 points 10 minutes: 10 points 5 minutes: 15 points (I don't know if this is realistic) 14 minutes into a Mun orbit: 10 points 10 minutes into a Mun orbit: 20 points 5 minutes into a Mun orbit: 50 points (I really doubt this is realistic but who knows.)

What is Your Favorite Thing of KSP 1
Little Kerbonaut! replied to Little Kerbonaut!'s topic in KSP1 Discussion
I can see where you were you are coming from. When I first bought the game I knew I wasn’t getting to space easily. But when I bought it on steam (I played on xbox first) I had some experience, but didn’t know the key-binds until I started looking it up and going through trainings. And now I know a lot more about rockets then I did before. -
What is your favorite thing of KSP 1? For me it is the graphics although the graphics aren't the best, I am so used to them that I will be sad to see them go.

Hi, I commonly see my SSTO’S steering left even though I am not holding down any keys. It mostly happens to all my craft that I put on the runway. Now I don’t know if it has something to do with the aerodynamic forces hitting the craft at a certain angle. Does anyone else have the same problem or is it just me.

How to Read The G'S Bar
Little Kerbonaut! replied to Little Kerbonaut!'s topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Oh, ok I have another question. What is the little green line on the bar? Does it mean green is good, grey is ok, and red is bad? -
I don't know how to read the bar that shows how many G'S your kerbals are going through, I know when it reaches the red marker it's pretty high. But the little lines I don't know how to read. If anyone knows how to red the bar can you please tell me.

Operation: Space Station
Little Kerbonaut! replied to Little Kerbonaut!'s topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I was able to put add the link in the text, but I don't know if that's breaking the rules so I got rid of it. -
