  1. Surfing on Chinese social media and found one guy who said that there's a new "Panda Express" opened in Beijing. And that guy said that it tasted totally like in the US... wt... Our country is still too tolerant
  2. People in Beijing captured the second-stage wreckage of CZ-2F Y16 re-entry: https://weibo.com/1423392492/N51SAyMHK CMS: According to the monitor and analysis, at around 01:34 on 13 June 2023 CST, the wreckage of the second stage of the CZ-2F Y16 rocket re-entry the atmosphere. The landing area is located at 130.6°E, 38.3°N in the surrounding sea. Most of the components were ablated and destroyed during the re-entry process.
  3. A pair of 75L Xenon tanks were installed at the outside of the Tianhe core module. They were taken out from the cargo airlock at the MT module and were transferred and installed by the robotic arm. "被动端(passive side)" were the places where the tanks were installed. Previously fuel for the two pairs of hall engines' ignition was from two 12L tanks inside the TH module.
  4. As far as my experience goes, there's nearly no difference between this thing and Siri.
  5. It's almost time for the annual Dragon Boat Festival again. In fact, apart from the boring straight-line acceleration, there are places where it adds something a little more difficult: for example, stopping sharply and turning into a sharp 90° corner (then do it again back to the finish line), or more than a corner
  6. I never understood the purpose of the plastic owls in the neighbour's yard across the road when I was studying in England, but got it now finally!
  7. Well, I just read that some colleges are working on the metal powder-based solid scramjet. This technology can control the thrust by controlling the amount of metal powder released from the valve. Of course, there's no oxygen out there for 'scram', but that's an interesting way I think.
  8. The Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) has accurately recorded a giant "space firework" gamma-ray burst lasting several hundred seconds from a "super-sun" star more than 20 times the mass of the Sun that collapsed when its fusion fuel burned up some two billion years ago, triggering a huge explosion: https://phys.org/news/2023-06-entire-tera-electron-volt-gamma-ray-death.html
  9. A week ago, my dad asks me to drive the old Peugeot 408 back home for "maintenance". I don't really need to drive from my rented flat to where I work. Just "a little crowded" on the metro. Then two days later he told me he had sold this 408 and bought the ET7. I think he was joking until I just saw the screenshot about he was chatting with the NIO's new car delivery assistance: Congratulate, your car is in production now and the frame number is out. The car will be produced in 2~3 weeks and will be delivered to the delivery centre within 3~5 days. "Dad, fun fact, this car is more expensive than my boss driving..."
  10. It broke the domestic record of "multiple satellites launched by one rocket": the last one was 22 sats launched by CZ-8 Y2 rocket last April 30. These two days are the days of the "Gaokao", which are the exams for high school graduates to enter university. The physics exam has this new question: The mass of the Chang'e 5 lander is m, the acceleration of gravity at the lunar surface is 1/6g, and the angle between the four legs of the lander and the vertical direction θ, the pressure of one leg on the lunar surface is: A: mg/4 B: mg/24 C: mg/4cosθ D: mg/6cosθ
  11. It should be added that the administrative area is 7,268 km2 - roughly seven Hong Kongs. The peaceful version is that the place is famous for its pears and tomatoes: they are surprisingly sweet because of the difference in temperature between day and night. Is also a very good place to take a driving tour. Not that peaceful one... well just look at those PLA watchers...
  12. Trumpeter. Have to say I'm also surprised they give such detail. But they didn't make a rocket part for it But it doesn't look that difficult to make a 3D model of this rocket - I suppose I could try to make one and then go to an online 3D printing shop and place an order. My idea is to make a launch scene with cotton and small lights.
  13. The re-entry of SZ-15 into the atmosphere was shot by someone in Korla, Xinjiang.
  14. Now there's room for the parcels stuffed in the station Currently, the station:
  15. Days ago, I bought a PHL-03 1/35 scale model. Just learn the drive mechanism of the truck
  16. Speaking of Deutschlandlied, in Ningbo, China, there's a senior high school that has 111 years of history using this for the school song. In fact, the Chinese filling of their school song is really beautiful - that's an ancient style of writing and diction. It's difficult to translate the "power" of these words into English. And the pupils, teachers, and headmasters of this school wrote their glory in the years of revolutionary resistance and anti-invasion. Reading the comments below the video, it seems that there are students from this school who say that their school had a German exchange program... And, well, there's one of the other uses Die Wacht am Rhein as a school song. And it used to be a girls' high school.
  17. Welcome back! The first meal for Fei Junlong is Chicken soup noodles, with two fried eggs and a side of bok choy. Deng Qingming is Fuzhou (抚州) rice noodles and pork & spring onion dumplings. Zhang Lu is Changde (常德) rice noodles and Hanshou Yubi Lotus Root. Well, sounds very digestible.
