once i was going to orbit with my space craft and my liquid fuel boosters were basically out of fuel so i got rid of them, they flew up about 20m then stop needless to say my rocket did not enjoy meeting them again

Munstar 21 This is the Administrator of Munar Exploration at the Kerbal Space Center, and what I’m about to tell you is highly classified. He adjusted himself in the stiff chair as you already know Munstar 20 was the official final kermanned mission to the mun, but what if I told you another mission was sent soon after that and never returned. It all started during the historical Munstar 3 the first kermanned mission to land on the mun. During the decent they passed over a mysterious crater soon after the equipment malfunctioned showing faulty readings this failure nearly aborted the mission but the anomaly ceased as quick as it began. Puzzled the space program assumed it as faulty equipment and tweaked the lander for the next mission. However the anomaly occurred again during Munstar 5,12,17, and finally 20 all while passing over that same crater. The scientist just had to find out what mysterious processes might be going on deep in that crater. A secret unmanned probe was launched as a disguised mapping mission. Strangely during its decent there was no anomaly the probe touched down without a hitch the panning cam showed nothing eventful until MET 9 hours 21 minutes 30 secconds. It was a late night at the RPD (Rocket Propulsion Department) in central Kolorado only a few scientist and controllers were on a shift when a high pitched beep signalled the pan cams motion sensor was triggered the small group of kerbals crowed auround the screen, at first nothing, but then a rock about 20 feet from the Lander began to twitch at first nobody noticed but then it began to shake violently wiggling itself free from the grey dust when it began to levitate this went on for at least a minute then the spacecraft began to shake violently and contact was lost that is the last we heard from that probe. A year later the final kermanned mission lifted off from the mun but the scientist were not done with that crater soon after three kerbonauts Philman Kerman, Aldger Kerman, and Joedorf kerman were informed they were selected to be part of a top secret mission to land near the probe they had lost contact with a year ago. During their descent to the Mun like the probe there no problems and touchdown was as Smooth as silk. As the crew suited up for EVA 1 Philman began to feel a little nauseous but shrugged it off as joedorf began descending the ladder he noticed the lander was surrounded by a perfect circle of black soil. Astounded he immeditly took a soil sample but as he touched the ground the soil changed to a bleach white this spectacle only had their attention for a moment. They knew there was a more important task ahead they had to find the probe they were in search of. A minute later a flash of light caught their attention, then they realized it was many flashes. As they approached they soon began to see metallic debris strewn everywhere in the middle they saw the dented dish belonging to the probe under a boulder after salvaging the probes equipment they spotted a rock move slightly when all of a sudden they had a mind shattering headache they began to stumble disoriented and dazed the ship seemed a million miles away but all of a sudden it stopped and they felt as good as ever. Frightened they raced back to the ship and began the automated takeoff when all of asudden an explosion rocked the ship all fuel was gone and life-support was damaged severely as a last ditch contingency they left the Ship and searched for a sample return mission that had landed on the rim of the crater 5 years ago. As they traversed the terrain the ship became a faint dot when all of a sudden a huge explosion blasted out from where the ship once was in a shockwave fasion the soil blackened. The last transmission we got from the crew reported levitating rocks crippling nausea then contact was lost the kerbals were presumed killed in action. There it is that is the real reson we have not returned to the mun.

I landed a 3 manned lander near a mountain range on the mun and decided to go eva bill thougt it would be a good idea to jump off the lander when bill hit the lander leg sending the ship flipping in the air (No air on the Mun) until it hit the ground and knocked the capsule off

well i know there will be a tech tree where you will have to research parts to get them and you must start with the old beat up parts and you will have to manage you space program economically attract attention by performing missions you will have to train and hire kerbonauts and thats about all i know

A few hours ago my space program achieved a great milestone. Launching an orbital space station Named K.O.L (Kerbin Orbiting Labratory) atop the largest Rocket my space program has built. After the first crew spent 100 kerbal days aboard a seccond crew took their place I juswt wanted to share this monumental achievement.

I know you can edit your persistence file to name your crew but can you somehow have you custom named crew wear the orange suits like bill bob and jeb

The challenge is stack as many kerbals on top of each other on top of the Mun Arch ( Either one) then orbit a ship and smack into the tower of kerbals

Alright heres my plan i will launch a 3 man capsule but kick one kerbal out before launch so i only have two kerbals i will transfer to the planet. on my arrival i will land directly to conserve fuel used for orbit insertion. with parachutes and a small amount of powered flight After staying on the surface and EVAing waiting for the next launch window to the planet. when it does open i will launch a 3 man orbiter with 2 kerbals kicked out. I will use aerobraking (skimming the atmosphere) to help put me into orbit. The two kerbals will launch off the surface rendevouz with the orbiter they will Eva ditch the lander and hop on the ride home However i will have to wait for another launch window. on our cruise home there will be a few Deep space evas and a re-entry to kerbin at record setting speeds other than that they will be greeted as heros

Just a quick question to the devs could you guys add a time acceleration button the the tracking station view since now we get planets it will make it easier to wait for launch windows to the planets

Just a question in the future will planets have modding support meaning we could have a planet folder like parts where we could download other peoples planets that they custom made and install them. I believe this could lead to infinite possibilities Also that moon of the Green planet is probably Egar from Novas Guide to the Kerbol system it is the 2nd largest moon of Meander (Green Planet) that consist of half ice wastelands and desert with large ice caps

I was testing my three manned orbiter that was launched by a core of 3 of the biggest fuel tanks with the biggest possible engine also with 2 boosters the same as the core strapped on the side i launched and made my apoapis and began to coast everything looked good until orbit insertion. I fired up the engines when all of a sudden the acceleration of the boosters was too much for the decouplers so they where destroyed causing the boosters to tear up the entire rocket. Miraculously the capsule survived and the crew made a ditch landing in the ocean east of the Kerbal Space Center however my astronauts where quite dissapointed that they did'nt go to space.

The title says it all this is a place to discuss crazy mishaps you have experienced on your missions let me start by telling you one of mine. It started as a normal mission with Jeb was piloting my experimental one manned space plane soon after orbit insertion Jeb prepared for his first EVA just before leaving I accidentaly hit shift and didnt notice until jeb watched his plane fly into the distance without him, eventually the engine stoped still with fuel in a eccentric orbit.
