This post was a bit ago now so idk if this will even help but im pretty sure that this is the same issue i had this week and managed to get working how i fixed it was opening the game with ckan and it might work with the default launcher as well i think it has to do with if you're opening it directly from an exe or exe.lmk (lmk just meaning its some sort of shortcut) and if you are using opengl with the 'force -opengl' type of thing it might glitch out some gui
