  1. Can you read the original mfg name? Like C&H ? Maybe a part number? I'm building a DCS simpit and would like to find some "wedge handle" toggles (for cheap)
  2. Very much like the Princess Bride, it's "barely alive" The LCD display fits without breaking out into the counterbores of the front casting. (very barely) There are a lot of revisions of the DSKY and display, all with subtle differences. Shown here and in the above post the bezel part of the older revision is smaller than the newer ones. The (larger) flown display bezel covers part of the 6 mounting screws and likely requires a hex-ball driver to get it in. I really don't have a clue what I'm doing. And the internet does not help.
  3. Here is the board. The copper tape and pink heatsink silicone are smushed onto the backlight driver as it needs a better PCB layout for heat dissipation. "mundane details..."
  4. I've been working on a scale replica of the DSKY display. The one shown here (1:1 scale) still needs a little work (like the segment miter) but is pretty good (shown cut into a photo pasted on cardboard) It's driven with a BT816 GPU from an ESP-32 and is running about 32FPS Of course the color and details can be changed to any RGB888 color I'm using a 5" Daylight readable IPS TFT display with a 24bit parallel interface. It's a tiny bit taller than the actual DSKY bezel but should fit behind the front casting with modification. The next step is to CNC the front casting from billet AL. Comments please...
