It would be nice if we got visual feedback like the fairing turning red when it can't close so we can know that it needs to be adjusted.

Yes I was able to make the Saturn V fairing in the launch version of KSP2 but I also find it much more difficult to make interstage fairings now

[Suggested Trip Planner improvements]

I'd imagine that new players overengineer their rockets since the current trip planner takes reinserting into Kerbin orbit from a round trip into account, so this would help make the game more accessible.

The official changelog says that the reentry behavior is different from KSP 1 and is subject to change so this is technically an issue of balance, not a bug.
