  1. I was flying to the desert launch site, tried to do an eva, ok  flying too fast... except I was able to switch to Bob, deploy his shoot, and with him nicely floating down, switched back to my plane... After an hour more of irl time I got to and landed(crashed but didn't die) at my target, in hopes of unlocking it. and nothing, Bob's gone and I can't launch from the new site....

what are the game mechanics on this?

    cheers

This is because you landed so far away from the equator. Thankfully, when coming back from Mun, there's a relatively simple solution to the problem of inclination.

    • After reaching low Mun orbit, create a 290 m/s prograde maneuver, and move it around until the planned trajectory exits Mun's sphere of influence horizontally. (The maneuver should be positioned about 45 degrees after your orbit crosses the equator.) This gets rid of the inclination by using Mun's gravity to rotate your velocity towards the direction you want.
    • Click the "next orbit" button repeatedly until the planned trajectory reaches Kerbin. (This could take up to 60 orbits, depending on where Mun is.)
    • Execute the maneuver.

    Oh brilliant.

Ya, Mun Bugbase was a 'go fix the rover' mission with 'land a base on the mun' mission.

Stranding them there; they did their service, time for some R&R, the engineer and pilot needed to come home.

Thanks King, and Legansinki this did!! Great description of the instructions too.

    Their home.

    That should work...

The prograde side ... of the mun... ? C.C. (east) on the mun matches how the mun also rotates C.C around kerbin yes? so the prograde side is basically to try to fly ahead of the mun?
the problem is that when ever I launch I end up on an insanley high inclination.. and my transfer is way off the equatorial plane...

    my ship is Excusion I

    and thx for the help.

  4. Hey there,

I'm wondering how to send a rover to a place while I go work in the VAb, or look at stuff in tracking, or dick around picking flowers around the space centre....ya know what I mean. Simple.....***** Go here from here, slowly, while I do other missions. I come abck in a month and your at the target.....***

Ive got mechjeb... can some one smarter then me the benifiets of mecjeb? lots of info for a game
also ahve KER this I find to be genuinely better info then the game gives you.

Ive dug around, and I cant figure which mods are how, the mch jeb instruction page is ... a thing

    thanks in adavnce

    cheers

  5. I have had them operate in opposite directions, and I have had them not spin at all, and even in flight had then all spinning like fire works.

What I want to do is press a button and rotate the servos from one position to another; ideally Id like to be able to rotate them as desired in either direction, pointing back to pointing down should suffice.

What I managed to do was use "custom one" and "engane servo motor" and set the target angle BUT I never managed to actually do it from the VAB. I could build half the command in the VAB, assigning the one key to engage motors, and in flight set the target angle, then I could hit the one key and they would switch from thrusters pointing back, and thrusters pointing down. this is very hackneed.

It's so buggy. Like the adding the target angle in flight didn't stick, so everytime I would load a quick save the changes would be lost and THIS IS INFURIATING when trying to land.
