When switched from craft to tracking station, to unsuccessfully time warp faster, back to craft, the ship blasted out of its orbit and to its own unplanned interplanetary mission. Map view of orbital path and orbit info (PE and AP in UI) showed the orbit of still being stable around Kerbin, but the craft was moving rapidly out of SOI of Kerbin. After switching a couple of times between craft, KSC, and Kerbin, to no change, map view showed a very large solar orbit.
