  1. KSP Version: 0.1.1.0.21572 OS: Windows 10 CPU and GPU: AMD Ryzen 3950, Nvidia RTX 2070 Super Description of the bug. Expected Behavior: Reliable vehicle saves Observed Behavior: After a revert, the rocket is no longer launchable eventhough it was fine before. Anything below the drone core is stuck underground and none of the parts are attached to each other. Screenshot 7zipped Savefiles
  2. You deserve a medal! Nice workaround!
  3. I know that bumping topics is frowned upon, but are there any news on this? Or some nifty workaround? Because from all the bugs I've encountered, this is the one that made me stop playing the game. I can deal with randomly detaching parts and exploding decouplers, but having to deal with unreliable game- and vehicle-save mechanics is just too much of a pain in the cheeks.
  4. I just realised that when the game enters the state described above, the career saves are no longer displayed as well. The only way to load saves from that career is doing so via the main menu. I get the feeling that the game creates savefiles which are no longer related to the career they are saved in?
  5. Wish I could, but the quicksave was overwritten later on. Wasn't able to reproduce the issue again so far.
  6. I lost all my vehicle saves as well, without any kind of soft lock though. I was trying to launch multiple rockets and dock them in orbit: built the first rocket, launched it from the VAB and returned to KSC launched the same type of rocket again, this time from the launchpad menu, returned to KSC built the second type of rocket, saved, tried to put it on the launchpad Now here it started to go wrong: two of the four boosters were missing. When I reverted to VAB, the vehicle was in some intermediate state, not the state that was put on the launchpad and certainly nowhere near the state it was in when I hit the save button. When I tried to reload the craft, all the saves were gone. Reloading the game didn't help. Surprisingly they reappeared, when I reverted to an older autosave Why would the vehicle saves be related to different career saves within the same career!?
  7. I tested some more as well and to me it seems to be the hubs that trigger the problem, albeit in slightly different patterns. For example the girder version of the micro hub would stay attached to the micro strut, but everything else I attached to the hub would detach on the launchpad (again including all other parts radially attached to the lander can). I'm afraid we're scratching on the surface of something bigger here. I've seen videos of spontaneously detaching landing legs which seemed to enter the same zombie state as the solar panels in my lander can experiment (aka tumbling about in physics- and collision-denying circles).
  8. Yes, I did. When activated through the staging, the decoupler would only blow the fairing but not detach from the Poodle engine. Luckily I quicksaved moments before the Kraken struck and was able to experiment a bit. I managed to get around the issue by triggering the decoupler manually via the parts menu. This _must_ happen before the decoupler is triggered by the staging though. Otherwise it will just do nothing.
  9. Ahoy support team, while trying to build a low profile lander with radially attached engines, I had some... 'interesting' behaviour of the craft, once it was put on the launchpad. The base of what I built was an MK1 Explorer lander to which I radially attached four ST-Micro1 Struts, followed by a TMP-XS hub. Inside VAB Whenever this combination of parts touches the launchpad, the TMP-XS immediately detaches, along with everything else that was radially attached to the lander can!? Outside VAB This was reproducable when starting the craft from scratch. KSP Version: 0.1.0.0.20892 Operating System: Windows 10 CPU: Ryzen 3950X GPU: RTX 2070 Super Expected Behavior: No disassembly on the launchpad or appropriate renaming of the TMP-XS Multipoint-Connector
