  1. Oh, and to add to my earlier post....I have literally zero reason to believe you made this post out of your own volition (you didn't even have a presence on the forums...now you do for this one post) nor do I have any reason to believe your move to Intercept games and your allegiance to Take Two has is anything other than a mix of not wanting to lose your job (hope you got a raise) and wanting to continue working on KSP2. Neither of those are wrong or bad but it also means I have no reason to trust anything you say...you don't work for yourself. You do whatever it is you need to do and say whatever you need to say to keep your job. I get it, I can't blame you and I am not even mad at you or any of the other devs, but don't expect me to trust you.
  2. While this is encouraging to hear...I am curious what HAS changed...maybe not directly with the game and it's planned 1.0 release. I have no reason to believe they would deviate from the marketing and plans laid out. But what about the future? What about the vision after the game hits 1.0? What about the team that decides these sorts of things? If none of that has changed then why did Take Two feel it was so vital to eviscerate a studio and demolish the dev team of a game so close to release? Who says anyone on the current dev team is safe at all? You watched the lion eat your last company and now you are sleeping with said lion hoping it won't hurt you. Like I said...what you said is encouraging and all...but it's just lots of fluffy words...none of which actually explained what happened. You say nothing is changing but I find that to be impossible given the giant shakeup that happened. I had faith in Star Theory and what you were doing but I am not so naive to think that literally nothing has changed. Hopefully all the changes are purely business/money changes but KSP2 is totally on my wait and see list now which really really sucks. Thanks for your time and message.
  3. Thanks for the heads up...I thought maybe that was the case given I could not find any info on them working together...kinda surprising and sucks to see....Maybe that means I need to make it happen....would be a good side project for me. That being said I find it really odd....because it appears that all the Universal Storage stuff works. the problem is likely easy as just making the base fuel cell recognize the US supplies. Food and even water work just fine....just the pesky fuel cell that doesn't recognize Oxygen and Hydrogen.
  4. Yoooo...anyone know how to fix this? the US Alkaline Fuel Cell stops working when it becomes a background ship Also it seems the Universal Storage Oxygen and Hydrogen will not work with the stock fuel cell. So I am stuck where I can't use the Universal storage fuel cell and I can't use the neat packages of the universal storage items.
  5. Are there any plans to make this compatible with the Dangit! mod (or one of the other failure and EVA repair mods)? It carries on some of the same principles but I think it could be made way better if it used progressive reliability vs everything having a set reliability the whole game
  6. I prefer realism because to me realism is what makes a simulation worth playing...clearly KSP is a "soft" simulation and it will be in a good spot after adding better aerodynamics and reentry mechanics. That said I will still probably keep using more advanced/realistic models such as FAR and RealChutes
  7. I would pay for the following DLC...preferably as one reasonable expansion pack instead of micro transaction crap 1. More planets/another galaxy (combined with #2) 2. Future technologies/more super late game content 3. Colonization options/more space station parts, preferably with benefits and colony simulation mechanics 4. Multiplayer 5. toggleable aerodynamic models (default and advanced), other toggleable difficulty settings (random failures to give engineers jobs, life support systems with food/water/waste/ etc) Obviously there are all mods for these things and I use those and love them...but I think we all can agree that nothing beats the smooth and proper integration of such systems when put into the game by the people making it rather than piggy backing off the game as a mod. Also I think responses like this are kind of silly...and annoying mostly because they are so unfounded in logic and just seem like whining People would not stop playing KSP...you don't like DLC? don't buy it...but there are TONS of people that play it...only a very small number of people would full on stop playing the game as some form of protest The DLCs would do good...for many reasons...people would want them for what they offer and then there are also people who like to have everything a game has to offer and will simply buy DLC for "completeness" it makes no sense that a company would make a DLC, then refund and give it out for free just because it did poorly It is narrow minded to assume that a company consisting of a small team would turn into a corporate giant with marketing and finance teams breathing down developers backs to push out DLC #100203895 for more money. Not that it is impossible...but I think Squad deserves a little credit...seems a bit rude to just assume they are going to turn on their fan base with aggressive monetization. They have done nothing so far to deserve such a negative assumption No one is going to petition to remove DLC or stop playing...as explained above...even if a petition was made it doesn't mean it would get enough support to warrant changes and at best might influence future DLC/expansion decisions and habits. I personally hate DLC *IF* it is clearly over priced for what it does or is out to nickle and dime everyone. Otherwise DLC isn't the worst thing to happen to gaming...overall certainly not the best but it isn't ending anything...just changing the way things are done. Expansion packs of the past are the exact same thing as DLC of today. They just have a more convenient delivery method (the internet) than what used to be available 10 years ago which means they can release smaller expansions (DLC) instead of only large expansion packs. Same goes for patching...it used to be a much larger undertaking to make and deliver proper patches so they came slower and bigger...now a developer can make one small change and push it out to all players in a near instant. *SIIIGGGHHH* Squad can't fix this...it is a unity issue...do you always throw such demanding fits?
  8. It stands to reason that the longer you wait the less beneficial the science parts will be as eventually they will be not needed when you research everything. So I would go for them first.
  9. I can't wait for proper full crew management...I always like to have a little bit of RPGish stuff with my simulations so that the crew is not so static and bland
  10. I imagine you can't make a station large enough to see...would be awesome if you made a station large enough that it could be switched to a persistent view status that allows you to see it on the ground or something
  11. I love it just the way it is...and besides...its not earth...its not our system...its a unique world that is fun how it is. Being based on and scaled against our system is good enough for me. Not to mention the room for expansion and mods I really doubt this will be an issue in the future and everyone will be able to have what they want.
  12. I name my stuff after mythology...primarily Greek mythology right now. I try and name stuff relative to its objective...below are some totally poorly named random things that demonstrate my point Zeus Space Agency Spartan Rocket Ares Probe Isis satellite etc. And yes I know Sparta was not a mythological entity...
  13. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=9951.1275 one of the listed fixes that Harvester posted today fixes exactly this.
  14. lol yeah I thought it over and realized its going to be in the same city most likely...within 10 miles of me.
  15. Hrm...not being able to build it (which is an easy to learn process) really hampers it all...I was going to post this too March 2012: $650 Gaming PC http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-gaming-pc-overclock,3159.html As for the Antec 900? When that thing came out it was hailed as the best thing since sliced bread...and now, years later, its still one of the best cases out there. Glad to finally get my hands on one!
  16. I just bought all these parts myself for a new computer Antec 900 gaming case - $99 ($20 rebate) CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB Memory - $45 (could drop to 4 GB for about $10-$20 cheaper and it would be fine) OCZ Vertex 4 128 GB SSD - $149 (get a standard hard drive for half price and more storage) Intel Core i5-2500K CPU - $205 Rosewill LIGHTNING Series 800w PSU - $149 (this one is flashy...cheaper ones available, also 800w is probably more than I need) GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H Motherboard - $189 (Once again cheaper models available that work just fine) Wireless Adapter - $18 GeForce GTX 570 1GB Videocard - $299 (560ti is cheaper and would not be to far from this card) That all said and done costs me $1135. I will be buying a larger standard hard drive for storage soon, using a DVD drive from somewhere (still searching...don\'t expect to pay more than $10), using my copy of windows on this comp, and using my monitor I have right now. So in all I can pull this build off for around $1200. Dropping the SSD, getting the slightly cheaper RAM, motherboard, PSU, and Video card would easily put you down to the $900 range I will even put up a suggested cheaper build in that range for you to get an idea. Antec 900 gaming case - $99 G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) Memory -$30 Samsung by Seagate Spinpoint 500GB hard drive - $80 Intel Core i5-2500K CPU - $205 OCZ CS Series 750w PSU - $90 ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard - $140 Geforce GTX 560ti 1GB Videocard - $250 That comes out to $894, has room for expansion, and can last you a few years on its own. That said you still need to have a monitor, keyboard/mouse, operating system, and DVD Drive. A wireless adapter would also be needed if you cant use an ethernet cable to connect to the router.
  17. Just ordered parts for a new computer myself...trying my first SSD for my boot/games disk and eager to see the differences...sadly I have to wait til Monday because UPS wont ship to me on the weekends and its due to show up Saturday (aka it will sit about 50ish miles away from me for a whole weekend...taunting me lol)
  18. I am actually about to build myself a new computer (have some parts still waiting on others to arrive) and I am going for the GTX 570... I am eager to see what it will be capable of Videocard: Geforce GTX 570 CPU: i5-2500k 3.3GHz quad core Memory: Corsair 8 GB DDR 3 1600 RAM Boot/Main Hard Drive: OCZ Vertex 4 128 GB SSD
  19. Yeah the vanilla ones are pretty easy to figure out ultimately...but the thing confusing me is the fairing parts of the Silisko Edition. I know in the old Silisko Edition thread there is a pretty pick of fairing parts traveling away from the ship properly...I can not achieve this effect...
  20. yep actually just found it and was about to edit my post...Thanks a bunch! Also...is there a parts guide of any sort?
  21. Yeah and I like that...just got home from work and I am grabbing it now. Though is it not being developed anymore? I know the pack is (I think) but the specific 'Silisko Edition' appears to be on hold.
  22. Thanks...looks good. Was also looking at the Solaris pack. EDIT: Oh snap this looks awesome http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=9006.0;topicseen
  23. With so many parts and packs and the like I am curious which is the most realistic...the last thing I want is autowin parts. Are there any specific 'realism' packs? Looking more specifically for things like satellites and other functional parts EDIT: By realism I mean stats...not necessarily appearance/descriptions and the like
