  1. Thank you for clearing that. No, the asteroid and eclipse were some last ditch proposals I hadn't tried yet. I had no idea if the mechanics even allowed it, that's why I asked before I wasted time. From your answer I take it they don't.
  2. I hit the same snag in early 2024 and now. Scanning doesn't work, there's simply no button for it. Since the fix proposed then works, I presume the problem is the operation for surveying simply being absent from the cfg files of the mod. Now, the problem I found no solution to, is NITE experiment and Kerbin polar biomes. It is to be performed in "space low", so there's the lower bound of 70 km - but at this height, there is permanent sunlight. I tried to achieve "Shadow 100%" condition through sticking the unmanned unit in closed service bay, under the shroud, I even built pipeshaped "space dock" to hide the probe in the shadow of a different vessel - but it seems planets are the only thing that counts. I have to presume either you can't perform the experiment over all six polar zones of Kerbin, or the probe over Kerbin poles have to be in shadow of Mun (which I don't know if it even happens). Is it working as intended? Or is there some solution to creating shadow I haven't thought of? PS: Well, actually intercepting an asteroid and putting it in polar orbit of Kerbin and hiding the probe in the shadow seems more reliable solution than waiting for eclipse, but I have no way to know if the clauses for the condition even account for bodies other than the one the probe is orbiting.
