  1. Hey, the config file to get the 6.4x kerbal system link appears broken. Would it be possible to get an alternate link?
  2. I currently have about 6 peices of debris as the evidence of 5 different successful Mun landings, all within 10km of each other, all done manually. The hardest one to get right is decoupling engines during the burn out to the Mun. I purposefully set a collision course with the prograde side of the moon, then detatch my extra engines leaving just a nerva, and a large amount of debris that collides into the moon. I luckily haven't bombed my kerbals doing sciency things over there... yet.
  3. This is where the brand new center of mass readout is supremely helpful. All you have to do is remove the stages below your lunar lander, and place rcs ports around the center of mass with 4 way symetry. As long as it doesn't have an ASAS, you can turn your RCS on while keeping your rocket pointed stright up, and use the RCS translation to cancel out any persistent horizontal velocity that you have as you get close to the lunar surface.
  4. Jeb and Bob landed on Duna slightly less than successfully. They got there on a lunar rocket that I had strapped solid boosters to, so they barely had enough fuel to get there. I had to use the last of the juice in my orbital craft to start the descent. Bill, well, he has spent the last 50 or so years on a sub EVE orbital path because I had no idea what I was doing. He has enough fuel to make it into a stable orbit and then land if he ever intersects EVE's path.
  5. Have you ever felt like you spaceplanes don\'t take off in time? Then this is the plane for you. It flies at 50m/s with one wing missing! It uses a normal liquid fuel rocket engine, is capable of orbit with minimal effort, and might be able to get to the mun (Not tested). To take off easily, start with ASAS on, start engines, and rapidly toggle ASAS on and off. The plane will naturally pitch up, and take off almost instantly. To land, put ASAS just above horizon, adjust as required. If one wing is lost, use roll and yaw in the opposite direction to maintain control. If all non delta wings are lost, land as you would with a standard c7 delta wing aircraft. Mods used are C7 aviation pack and NovaPunch 1.1
  6. This is my test for a new rocket design usually. I send it straight up with the main liquid fuel engines, and then turn over and burn prograde for the solar orbit. Once the first stage is done, I turn around and use a high efficiency liquid engine facing backwards to get the rest of the way out of orbit. If it doesn\'t work, it probably need MOAR BOOSTERS!
  7. Th easiest way I have found to get to minmus is to take a munar orbiter, put a little extra fuel in it, and do one more burn than usual. If you get into a mostly circular orbit (I did mine with a 30/60km orbit, and burn just as kerbin fall below the horizon. Sets you into a capture path with Minmus with minimal fuel used. This was done with 3 high powered liquid fuel engines on a somewhat large rocket.
