  1. someone in the challenges made the thing. i think the thread is called \'realistic ground vehicles\' or something like that. my truck.
  2. this thing is near impossible to drive on the Mun.
  3. i suspect most people do, and anyway, it\'s just a pretend backstory for a nigh impossible retrieval mission. seriously, that thing is tiny, no way i\'m going to be able to rendezvous with it, much less grab it. unless someone has a tool that works better than Mechjeb for getting close to things.
  4. another crane. using the sub mod for counter balancing.
  5. Edit: I think this is the truck. I have Claw Truck through Claw Truck 3 in the folder. Takes the cart mod, damned robotics, and MechJeb. May need some updating to .15 too. Edit 2: Let\'s see if I can remember to attach the file this time. craft file doesn\'t save the servo \'channels\'. must be an issue with the plugin or the way things are saved. doesnt load the channels in the VAB either.
  6. none of my rovers will do 150M/s, what is everyone using? i\'ve put myself around 1/3 the way around minmus with a short RCS burst in the big green military truck going 65M/s.
  7. the OP isn\'t updating the leaderboards anyway. which is unfortunate, since i had alot of fun doing this.
  8. that\'s what i ended up doing. kept wasting 15 minutes to get out to the probe just to trash it, or have the thing flip my boat. so i built a duplicate and set it down just outside of the base.
  9. Mods used: none This feels like reverse steampunk or something using jet engines and aircraft parts to make a boat of moderate speed. i can go a whole bunch faster. but i don\'t need to demonstrate that quite yet. lots of mods used. ;D
  10. how fast did you get to the probe? all my Heli attempts have been disappointing. to say the least.
  11. game glitch, if you crash and restart the mission without going to the SPH/VAB the top speeds get messed up. i could only manage ~150M/S over water.
  12. made it there and back. and promptly dropped the mechjeb on the runway and broke it. but if you ignore that, NEW RECORD! WOO!
  13. i almost got to 500M/S. same design as before but with one M-50 engine cranked up to 1500 instead of 3 with a grand total of 1200. much more stable this way. still need to tweak some other things, might be able to hit 550. only using chutes to stop (but alot of them) EDIT: so i can hit 500+(520 in this case) and successfully stop with room to spare, but the end flight numbers are screwy. i think my dragster is rotating kerbin backwards. DOUBLE EDIT: Flawless victory
  14. Challenge over so close, just barely left the runway. okay not really, was some weirdness on KSP\'s part. the ship the top speed.
