  1. aww you used auto acent you need one that takes off and makes it to any planet free hand
  2. Ive made it from kebin to eve with like 30-40 minutes of fuel left, granted it wont be there if I attempt a landing. I might be able to get off the surface, but without ever being on it I have no idea. I may have to try to get some pictures up, and I may attempt a landing. All I have is a simple lander. went for as much interplanetary fuel as I could possibly get into orbit.
  3. Nice, I hope I get that performance after I OC. Hopefully by the end of the year ill find a new gpu too, currently looking at a gtx 480....couple that with a lets say 3.4ghz quad core. Ohhh yeah Oh btw, just tried a night landing on Duna. If it was day time, not on the side of a hill, and if I didnt cut engines to soon. I would have been on the landing gear. But didnt crash, guess im loading quick save and going to wait for a day landing.
  4. No, it probably doesnt help with 300 parts on the rocket either. I just got a new MB and CPU Heatsink in today, so Im going to be formatting the HD, installing the MB and a fresh copy of windows, then OC'ing my CPU from 2.4ghz to roughly 3.2-3.6. Ill see if that helps, but hopefully a combination of new drivers and that will make a BIG difference, but will see.
  5. So after working on a nice 3 person deep space vessel and failing due to performance issues (would slow down comp, and not allow me to make proper adjustments on take off), I built a 1 person ship and made it to Duna on my first attempt. This makes me feel so good, all the good things I learned while making trips to Minmus and the Mun. Wasn't most efficient though, wasted most of fuel to get there, only 104L left on main engines, then I have the lander, so hes stuck there but hey made it. Won't let me screenshot....wish I could though right now, so happy! Just wanted to share this
  6. Oh and to answer your question, no they didn't. They are both there....but I should do a quick save and send them home to see if I can do it...they may be lost in space currently haha
  7. Mine has a first stage of solids with the liquid, then just liquid, get on my way there, then a motor to get into orbit and to start the decent, jettison that when I get close and it gives me a rough idea of how close to the surface I am when It smashes into it. btw it bogs the computer down bad during launch and during the getting into mun orbit
  8. I like the spare rcs tanks, always seems like you could use another one. I landed over 800m away from the other lander, then using the rocket motor adjusted the thrust so I would hover basically, then used the rcs thrusters to glide into position by the other rocket. And thanks about the beast comment. Ill post some pictures of my other rockets. Check out the 3 person lander, it boggs the pc down to seconds per frame at times. To Tigga, I do agree with you about the struts, although I needed them for this due to being unstable. Original Mun Lander Rocket 3 Person Lander with bada$$ lander And some pictures of the lander on the Mun
  9. Rocket at Launch...btw I know there are two different kerbanaughts. Didnt have a screenshot of it on the pad so put one there then did a screenshot.
  10. Thanks, I never really tried to go there until a few weeks ago. I had a great sense of accomplishment when I got there. Now it feels like nothing to get there...even though I have only gone twice. Ill have to get some pictures of the ship on launch. One of my better designs. Get a good one going to the Mun, then add some fuel to to compensate for Minmus.
  11. And thought this picture needed to be included. Can see earth and the moon in the distance
  12. On way to minmus! In minmus orbit. And now. Landed somewhat close. Now the fine moving using the RCS thrusters begin and the following resulted. Hard work and a big learning curve has paid off. So excited. This is awesome practice.
  13. is there a way that i can change it so it stays connected to everything at the rear in stead of just jettisoning it off? Like build a space station below it, when you jettision it everything stays attached to the bottom, but it opens up like it should and becomes its own craft?
  14. dont really want to go through 66 pages, but how do you use the docking nodes, I can put on but nothing below it, so I cant attach my rockets to get teh space station up.
