Well that sucks. I totally agree with ya, on the part of reiumbursing KSP-StoreERs for a steam copy limitless-ly. I mean, really, they bought a legit copy, just not from steam. Why not let them transfer to? *confused*

really? is this confirmed? u cant get a steam copy if u bought it early enough? well, regardless, i think it this pre-release was mainly for the modders ,no? because they can use it too update the mods? and i think most modders use steam?

It's called add a non steam game isn't it? The option I mean.

thats only for adding a .exe file soo u can launch it with steam. too have the game in your library, and actually available, you need too go through some process that gives u a steam key.

Nothing is there except for previous release option.

oh well then idk? maybe its through some wierd proccess. maybe the servers have been overloaded and its not available. maybe they pulled it, and havnt responed about why its not there anymore yet

I don't think you quite understand. I have the game. Not on steam. I bought it from the KSP store before it was even being thought of as a steam release. Basically if I want to be part of this mass testing that Squad are so happy to announce today, than I'd have to buy the game again....on steam....

but you dont have too pay twice! i think u get a steam key, through a free proccess.

Then how do I download it via Steam? Will it automatically download?

i think if u right click ksp on the list of games, you can see properties. click that, then there should be a window with a betas tab. click that, and there might be a drop down menu under the beta tabs after u click it, i think u can select 1.1 opt in? maybe?

If you don't want to give your money to steam.  If you just go to kerbalspaceprogram.com and don't know that you could download it elsewhere.  If you bought the game before it was on steam.

if you bought it before, u should be able too ask for a steam key. if you dont want too give your money too steam-- why? steam has done nothing wrong, a big % of the profit goes too the devs. on the ksp store website, when clicking on KSP , it says right there "buy it on steam" . so if you read it, you probably know you can get it on steam.

I have steam. I use it regularly. But funnily enough I hadn't heard it f it until KSP was released on it and they did a huge announcement about it. But I already have the game, so why would I add it to my steam account?

so that way you can have it wherever u have internet, because you can download it through steam. i mean, sure u can probably download it through the ksp store, but then again, you wouldnt have access too the 1.1 pre-release opt in would you? you saw what they said on the original post, you know they wouldve if they couldve, but they said that its easier too use steams already built in beta-release system, and if it works for the developers easier enough then their own website, id suppose it would be ok for the players too use it too? i mean, if its there,  and it works, and most people who play ksp use steam, atleast a big % of people who play ksp play it with steam, then why not use the steam system for beta releases and opt ins?

Anyone who knows the Steam T&Cs say they can change the T&Cs to say anything they like and if you don't agree, lose all your games. At least the rest of us know we'll get every future version eventually.

but nobody even reads them anyways. 9/10 people just scroll down and press the button saying that they have read it an accept.

Massively disappointed that this is for Steam only. As someone who bought this game before it was even available on Steam, has every build on my PC since 0.17 and over 3000 hours (don't know the actual number as the store version doesn't track it...) in game, I thought maybe my (and everyone else who has been playing for nearly 3 years) opinion might be welcomed. Obviously not.

they said they would've if they could've ! and really, who doesent use steam? its so common, i dont see why anyone would have any excuse too not use it.

GG Squad. You just betrayed the faith and confidence of 50% of your players.

they said that they probably would've if they could've. you don't have too be so melodramatic. and really, who doesent use steam? its the best thing ever.
