  1. People hate on Spore a lot, but I reckon the cartoony cities from that would be as far as you\'d want to go. Actual cities at the current scale would be just insane - imagine trying to fit Manhattan on the surface of Kerbin.
  2. 'the patcher has something wrong with it that prevents Macs from updating' I might be ignorant of technical reasons for not doing this ... but why didn\'t they just put 0.16 up in the store as a direct download? Surely it has to take less bandwidth than a lot of users repeatedly trying to download the update. Thankfully I\'ve got Boot Camp running so I\'ll pop into Windows later on and play the thing, but all my favourite video capture stuff is in OSX. On the other side of the coin, though - I\'ve seen what people are doing with this update on Youtube and it\'s all very awesome. Job well done to Squad!
  3. I don\'t have any awesome videos, but I thought I\'d share a kind of summary one I did; made up of footage I\'ve been collecting over the past few updates. (The title is ironic - I\'m well aware that I\'m a rank amateur compared to some of the folks on the forum). And there\'s also my latest \'reusable\' Shuttle. Don\'t click either if you dislike fruity language - I\'m not actually sure if I employ any, but there\'s every likelihood.
  4. I\'ve kind of given up on mimicking the NASA approach for now, I\'ve just went with a symmetrical rocket arrangement. I figure it\'s temporary until I can nut out a solution for a more authentic stack.
  5. *shrug* took me half an hour to get to Minmus and land safely, using a rocket that wasn\'t even designed for that mission profile. It was a first try kind of deal, and I was winging it. I think anyone who says that players couldn\'t reach new planets using the current stock parts is sorely underestimating the people who play the game. I\'m just a chump who\'s winging it, and I manage to get places in the game. I mean there are people on the forum who have made topography maps of some of the Munar surface, people who are taking off, landing, taking off, landing - just insane amounts of skill on display here! Bet you $100 that they\'ll have a landing on a new planet sussed out within a couple of hours of release (whenever that might be).
  6. I usually just put some sort of visual cue on my craft (winglets) so that I know which way is up. Aside from that, I\'m all for a cockpit view like the one in Eagle Lander.
