Why this rocket fails at launch?
TheKerbinator replied to vtgbart's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Could you post some images? It could save us a lot of time if we don't have to download the craft file and whatnot. -
What? You're comparing appels and pears my friend.

[Invention] The Great MS Paint Jebediah Adventure!
TheKerbinator replied to TheKerbinator's topic in KSP Fan Works
On the way back With a jarring 'CLANG!' Jeb wake up from his slumber. A sound coming from the laboraties woke Jeb up from his nap at work. His confusion was soon followed by sadness when Jeb realised he was not on the Mun, but in fact at his regular job at the Research and Development Department of Kerbal Space Program. As a security guard, he was responsible for the graveyard shifts to keep the perimeters secure at night. Armed with a nightstick and a flashlight, Jeb's job mainly consisted of staying awake amidst the boring monotony of his work. Jeb knew that the entire complex should be empty at night. One could only wonder what created the sound from the laboratory... PAGE 3 OF 3, you may now post your suggestions! What should Jeb do next? -
[Invention] The Great MS Paint Jebediah Adventure!

And so it begins... Jebediah was always pushing new frontiers. In doing so, Jebediah instilled a great amount of fear and respect in the people who know him. Mostly fear, though. It is his tenacity, creativity and dim-witted luck that brought him where he is. The first Kerman to set foot on the dusty surface of the Mun. As the cold dust lay beneath his isolated foot soles, Jeb could not help but think back of when he was a kid and first glanced at the Mun from his bedroom window. A tear oozed from his widely spaced eyes. PAGE 2 OF 3, please hold. -
Hi everybody, In this thread we are going to create the (fictional, and unofficial) backstory of Jebediah Kerman. This is how it works: I start it off by posting two pictures below to begin the story. As the subject of this topic suggests, the picture are drawn in MS Paint and YOU get to decide what happens next! Every 'episode' of pictures I post is followed by the suggestions of you guys of what Jebediah should do next. You could base your decision on what you see in the picture or think completely out of the box. Either way, we keep this lighthearted and funny, so comical suggestions are encouraged. Once I've gathered a good suggestion I will begin drawing the next episode, and so on. Now let the story commence! POST 1 OF 3, please hold.

I second this. I remember the dev's stating that they made the Kerbals 1 Unity unit (lol) high, to give the best physics representation. 1 Unit corresponded to about 1 metre, if I remember correctly.

It is clear to me that the Kraken attempted to mate with your ship. You should be flattered.

What is this orbit called?
TheKerbinator replied to Binky's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Well, it does allow for tidally locked bodies (Kerbin and Mun are tidally locked, just like Earth and our moon), but the process of tidal locking isn't included. Seeing how tidal locking occurs due to the friction of fluids or gasses flowing over a body (hence the name 'tidal lock'), caused by it's satellite (or vice versa) it's not possible to tidally lock to the sun or Kerbol with a spaceship. -
I like to fire a rocket straight up, creating a very elliptical orbit. Then when the ship enters the atmosphere again at ludicrous speeds I love to see the G-meter spike the red like it's nobodies business when the ship plows into the lower atmosphere like a brick wall.

Make a wish... and have it horribly corrupted!

Granted, but without a spacesuit your bodily fluids boil off and you bloat like a blowfish. I wish to be the dictator of a country.
