  1. This is fantastic, im trying to set up and airship with a chain of kas's to give a very long tether.

  3. Majiir, that map interface looks....... "drool". I have a question, Ive always looked at the planet Eve with disgust, super dense pita atmosphere, and well I honestly cant think of any redeeming factor to it except it looks cool. I think you have the power to change our views of Eve, lets say that super dense atmosphere contains kethane and you made some sort of atmospheric kethane extractor, well now I finally have a reason to colonize Eve, and a means of generating sufficient fuel to achieve escape velocity. Of course the amount generated from atmosphere would be less than mining but still It would make Eve a viable target (if you add Hooligans Airship mod you could have self sufficient cloud cities). If this is possible I get visions of sending "dippers" into Jools atmosphere to harvest kethane (that and giant floating cities). Ive been poking around the code and was wondering if this is even possible?

This popped into my head this morning while sitting on my "thinking chair" In regards to mining "ore" I know right now its set to be everywhere, and imo it should be, lets assume the kerbals are using advanced nanotech (able to extract useable metals out of all soil), very unkerbal like but it happens, they can just transform matter into matter. My thought was after glancing at the kethane posts and such I saw something about "planet seed". Is there a way to set the "density" of the ore differently for different planets? Density isnt the right word but let me extrapolate, say if Im on kerbal, I can extract ore at a rate of Z per minute. Now say I fly to the dusty lifeless world of Duna, all of a sudden im extracting at 2x Z, dres or moho IMMA GONNA MAKE ALL THE THINGS! This would encourage setting up ship manufacturing on different mineral rich orbital bodies, making some planets more attractive for mineral mining.
  5. I want to park ships out in high orbits just to keep them at the ready. Plus you cant really expect to colonize the stars until you maximize your home system. Youd be better off setting up a base on the Mun, or an orbital shipyard around the Mun. Feed it minerals and fuel from Mun and not have to deal with Kerbins gravity well anymore. So basically, the sooner I can get my Bases and planetary mining operations up the sooner I can prepare orbital shipyards, and start building super large frames that dont need as much strut bracing.
  6. Bobcat, I just want to let you know this hold on the H.O.M.E 2 pack is holding up my plans for interstellar domination. All these hints at your new shiny toys are making your old toys look dull and sad. Naw, but seriously, Ive had a great time with HOME and the JoolV (which i updated myself, its my favorite launcher system)m I cant wait for whats in store next.
  7. Ive been trying to convert my eve friends to ksp.... I wanna see some calamari ships. Maybe with missile mods!
