  1. if its the same problems with the decouplers(specifically the ones designed to hide the engines) i'm having is that they can't support crap for weight. they buckle in on themselves since the top half of the decoupler is fake theres no physical mass to hold it and what its connected to in place. so if you put a semi heavy stage above them the whole thing collapses in on its self. if need be i can do some screen shots to show what happens.

  3. lol i know, i tried with the stock parts, seriously about to pull my hair out because i can't get anything to friggin fly straight!!!!! i'll try with all wobbly rocket parts next after i calm down..
  4. lol i'd rather not embarrass myself i really suck with the stock stuff plus i can't even remember what all the stock parts are.
  5. my best time so far is 1 minute 4 seconds and i think i can beat it, trying one more idea then i'll post pictures and ship info as proof. ok heres the latest one i've done.. 1 SAS mod 1 decouplers 1 XL fuel tank 1 5x1 coupler 5 necelle engines starting image: as close to 100km as i could get with the image: images changed to reflect my new time.. new time: 58 SECONDS to get to 102KM!!!!! old time: 1 minute 3 seconds to hit 101KM. http://i.imgur.com/JeyUm.png http://i.imgur.com/TtU9P.png

  8. i like your dual pylon coupler, but it breaks the option to save craft's. anything on the craft from the dual pylon coupler down does not get saved.
  9. yay spend 15 minutes building a rocket that should of worked.. i get up to 200k meters go to launch the warp boosters and poof the engines disappear in a black cloud.. these things need a ton of work.
  10. instead of making a new post for every ship i make i'm just going to keep posting them in one thread.. most of the ships i make use modded parts because the stock ones are boring. surprisingly this one worked, its taken me a while to get it to work repeatedly but i figured it out.. Boosters and liquid fuel engines fire at the same time but i set the liquid engines to 0% power as the boosters lift the ship. as the boosters start to run out of fuel i slowly power up the liquid engines to about 45%. this was just a short flight, i can probably add 1 more fuel tank on it to get it to go further though and not have it completely fall apart on me. i don't have a name for it yet so if anyone has any ideas feel free to post them. I call it Warp speed and surprisingly it flies pretty well if you slowly power up the liquid engines on launch.   11. lol they didn't even have time to get scared, the whole thing collapsed in on its self and lags like a mofo during the entire explosion, i couldn't even zoom out fast enough because the camera would disapear under ground. also the ships so damn tall it doesn't fit in the hanger, even if you break it into 2 pieces both pieces are still to long to fit them in the hanger. i have no clue how this guy built this thing.
  12. based on the picture and the fact that i actually tried to make one of these not to long ago, no the thing just falls apart halfway up because of the game engine and things not physically attaching to each other. but i'll download it and see if this ones any different from the ones i've tried. yeah um i just tried it..   13. man the E-1000's are redonkulous.. way over powered and thus makes them insanely fuel efficient.. case in point, look at the below picture and note what my thrust is at, and yes i have 5 of the E-1000's on this thing because i was bored as you can tell by all the XL fuel tanks
  14. huh interesting, i tried making one similar to that and it refused to ever take off and i only used 2 fuel tanks.
  15. yeah it definitely breaks the game.. my gpu goes ape sh** but never hits 100% load like it normally does just sitting in the construction bay. oh btw the i7 doesn't matter, the games single threaded. damn even tried 640x480 on fastest quality, nada.. i think the problem is that the program is single threaded it turns into a cpu bottleneck. because its the only thing that would explain why my gpu is bouncing between 0-46% usage while the core0 is pegged at 100%.
  16. thanks for the file, i'll play around with it as well and see if i can keep it from exploding.. i got nothing better to do tonight so this should kill 3-4 hours easy.. darn looks like the link isn't working anymore..

  19. its disapears after 50000km i think. maybe 100000km all i know is it disappeared some where between that. lol yeah i was bored last night and was getting pissed off after about 10 different rocket designs i made failed due to glitches in the game. so i said screw it and decided to see how many of those XL fuel tanks i could put on it and still be able to take off.. it fly's like a friggin pig though.. it just wobbles around and gets worse the faster it goes.
  20. i did it.. i hit 67KM/s!!! it only took me almost 2 hours to do it but i did it. i actually forgot i left the game running in the background and got back to it just as the engine cut out.. so heres the picture.. who knows maybe i'll drift all the way to the sun, may take me a few days if its even possible. i'll post the file a little bit later since i didn't save it before i started the flight, didn't even think it would actually fly.
