During the night hours of July 11, 2012 a Rocket carrying three Kerbonauts was launched with the sole intentions of landing on the Mun to gather Intel. The information is currently being kept confidential but there are reports that the rocket that was launched later crashed on the Surface of the Mun while attempting to land. There is little information regarding this event but we will keep you updated as we hear more. ____ There have been reports of a reconnaissance mission being assembled to Orbit around the Mun to confirm the location of the downed rocket. Kerbal Space Mission Manager, George Lenok, has confirmed that there is a rocket missing on the surface of the Mun and that they are working on a mission to recover the Kerbonauts. He has no further comment. ____ Kerbal Space Mission Manager, George Lenok, has confirmed that the rocket missing on the surface of the Mun is currently carrying three Kerbonauts, Seanfry Kerman, Bobny Kerman and Nedsted Kerman. At this current time information is very limited how ever, George Lenok has confirmed that they are currently working on \'Daedalus IV\'. Daedalus IV is a brand new rocket being developed by Kerbal Space Engineer, Guy D, with the sole intentions of this reconnaissance mission. Guy D. is currently not available for comment. _____ UPDATE: Progress on the Daedalus IV is currently progressing at a slow rate. During test launches the Daedalus has experienced malfunction after malfunction. The most recent launch was a failure after the Daedalus began to bend due to pressure when it reached the Altitude of 63,000. Kerbal Space Engineer, Guy D, has this to say: 'We know they\'re probably dead, but we\'re still going to pick up their bodies so we can give them a proper burial, after studying their bodies to find out why they died and how long they managed to survive. As far as the Daedalus IV goes, I made it a little shorter. There was a lot of flexing around the center coupler. It\'s reduced now of course but I\'m waiting to see what happens.'. He also also stated that a follow-up test of the revised D4 (Daedalus IV), has showed an improved structural stability. They have stated that their next tests will be to confirm a safe Orbit around the world. More information will be released when available. ____ UPDATE 2 Kerbal Space Mission Manager, George Lenok, has confirmed that the Daedalus IV has successfully did a test mock up launch and have calculated that they are holding enough fuel to do a reconnaissance mission and be able to return to Kerbin. Three unknown Kerbonauts are currently preparing for the mission. At this time they are keeping their identities confidential. Kerbal Space Engineer, Guy D, has stated that he will not comment any further until after the Kerbonauts are home. ______ UPDATE 3 Kerbal Space Mission Manager, George Lenok, has confirmed the Daedalus IV is ready for the reconnaissance mission. At this current time the D4 is being prepped for take off at the Launch Pad. They are expecting the mission to take anywhere from 10 hours to 5 days. They are going to prepare to drop any supplies that they can if in the event that the Kerbonauts are alive. We will keep you updated as it goes on. ______ UPDATE 4 Kerbal Space Mission Manager, George Lenok, has confirmed that the Daedalus IV has successfully launched at 5:19 PM. After a 20 hour trip the Three Kerbonauts aboard the Daedalus IV 'Recon' are currently and safely orbitting around Kerbin. During their 20 hour mission the Daedalus IV has confirmed the location of the downed rockets and have confirmed VIA limited radio communications that all three Kerbonauts on board the downed rocket are alive. At this current time they have enough supplies to last aprox 5 days. During the reconnaissance mission their has been rumors of an unknown and unidentified structure on the Mun. No further information is available regarding that. George Lenok has this to say: 'We are happy to hear the Kerbonauts mumble and jumble around in the Command Module for the Intel Sat. They have confirmed through sneezes how much supplies they have and how many of them are injured. At this time we believe that the incident happened when the Kerbonauts tried to land on a small hill, which resulted in the rocket tipping over and breaking into parts. We will be working on a mission to recover the Kerbonauts. Thank you to the three Kerbonauts who boarded the Daedalus Rocket to do a low orbit around the Mun. We currently have a Shuttle orbitting the Mun keeping an eye on the area. We have no comments regarding the rumor of an unidentified object on the surface or around the Mun.' Kerbal Space Engineer, Guy D, has stated: 'I need a stiff drink after this.' We have obtained the de-classified version of the Mission Logs. 2:25 PM - D4 Recon is being created/prepped for the Recon. 5:00 PM - D4 is ready for launch and is being prepped on the Pad. 5:19 PM - D4 Prepared for Launch 5:20 PM - Take Off 5:26 PM - Exited Kerbin Atmosphere 5:33 PM - Reached Apoapis 8 Hours 44 Minutes (In to mission) - Acquired radar detection of an unknown Mass on Mun matching the Rocket 9 Hours 13 Minutes (In to mission) - [glow=black,2,300]Visual Contact of unknown object on Mun[/glow] 9 Hours 54 Minutes (In to mission) - [glow=black,2,300]Visual Contact of same unknown object on Mun[/glow] 10 Hours 54 Minutes (In to mission) - Visual Contact of downed rocket 10 Hours 55 Minutes (In to mission) - Radio contact acquired. 16 Hours 30 Minutes (In to mission) - Beginning return Home. 17 Hours 27 Minutes (In to mission) - Entered Kerbin Orbit 20 Hours 03 Minutes (In to mission) - Orbiting Kerbin There is currently no further information about the recovery mission. ______ OOC: I\'ll be updating this as this happens, lol. Just something to do while I\'m bored.

All my friends know about it, one of them purchased just before me and another one is waiting for his paycheck. Couple others already play this game.

Just purchased - What kind of mods should I look into?
DavidF replied to DavidF's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Downloading now, thanks! I like to use Pre-made Rockets a lot, but I\'ll give the parts a shot. -
Any suggestions on which \'specially designed craft\' I should use?
-
Is this possible? If so what mods are required to do it? I\'m intrequed with the whole multiple flight thing and memory of them. I currently have Three Shuttles Orbitting all the planets and one Untitled Debri out there. Any help?
-
Yeah, I had already contacted Support and was awaiting a response, so I was looking for something to do. They got back to me and I have been messing around with it for a bit, as you saw in the whole.. landing on the moon thing.. I currently have a Shuttle orbiting the Mun.
-
I cheated and used the Auto Pilot with the CSS and I landed on the Moon, quite hysterically actually. This is how I landed on the moon using the Auto Land.
-
I think that is what would keep me occupied. Trying to do it without the right stuff, lol.
-
Yowsa.When I say L?
-
No, it isn\'t showing up in my account and I didn\'t get a link. I have to wait for them to fix something. It\'s depressing. My friend purchased it without a problem, I purchased it 10 minutes later and it didn\'t work for me, lol.
-
I\'m trying to figure out how to get to the Mun, that\'ll be a step to actually LAND on it. LOL!
-
Hehe, I\'ve noticed Jeb doesn\'t frown. Can I use the MechJeb on the Demo version? If so where do I put the \'Plugin\' folder?
-
I purchased KSP a bit ago and am still waiting on getting the full version, I sent my receipt in and am just waiting on them to respond.. What do you guys suggest doing in the Demo version to waste time?

Hey bud!The current status of the game is considered \'Alpha\' which means it is just slightly before beta. This is considered an \'Open Alpha\' where the game is always evolving and features may come and go at any time, and it also may be plauged with bugs. It is so early in Development I do not think there is any set time of when the game will be fully released but right now they are allowing it for Pre-Order, which allows you access to the Builds when they are finalized and released. Basically at this time you are playing a game and helping finish it. So if you purchase it, why not stick around and give up some words of advice/report bugs?

Phew! I\'ll pass on that for a bit. I\'ll consider it in the future though! -

What mod did you make? I\'m not looking for real science simply because.. well.. I\'m not a scientific person. I just guestimate, lol! I\'m thinking doing a Part Pack right now might be a little overwhelming since I just started. I think I\'ll be set with the Auto pilot for now while I familiarize myself with how this works in the full version. Thanks for the help, don\'t be afraid to self promote here people! The point is to make me aware of the mod, so I don\'t have to feel so overwhelmed looking at [somethingExtraterrestial]SomeGibberishIdon\'tknow [V1.20], etc. XD -

Thank you very much for that link! When I finally get the download link for the full version I\'ll install that right away, once I figure out how of course. Any other mods you\'d suggest? -
Hey guys! Just purchased this thanks to a buddy of mine but I\'m wondering, what kind of mods would you suggest me using? I have looked around and I have to admit, coming late to the party is a little overwhelming. So many mods, so many things! Any suggestions? I\'m looking for an Auto Pilot Mod, as well as anything that would help me gauge on how to get to the Mun and any other places. Thanks for the help!

If its available, I\'m investing in the HTC Evo. Good phone from what I have been hearing.

Hey guys! I thought I would introduce myself here so you guys can get a base idea of who I am and why I am talking so weird sometimes! I\'ll start off with the basic AA stuff, my name is David Fortsch (Not hard to find me, so why hide my last name?) and I\'m here because I\'m interested in Rockets and Space Exploration, but don\'t have any interest outside of hitting a few buttons and watching things happen. By that I mean I\'ll tinker with a rocket and hope it flies, it usually turns out with a big explosion. I have many interests and when I find a hobby I usually go big. I\'m a young gun, I\'m currently 17 years old and have been on and around Computers since I was roughly 12 years old. I\'ve been around the block having managed a Forum for a then popular youtuber \'Duncan\' aka mobilephone2003. I was an Administrator for him for a bit before I had to leave due to personal reasons. Since then I\'ve ran a couple other forums here and there and I am currently employed as the Customer Service Manager for a small company that makes custom footwear for Sim Racing. I\'m big into the computers, having like I said been around them since I was 12 or so. I am not so much Technical with them, I prefer to just dabble with fixing them from Viruses and other internal stuff, I don\'t enjoy messing with the components them selves. I\'ve been in and out of the Game Development world, having been the Project Manager for an independent game called \'Spin-Tyres\'. An offroad trucking game created for an Intel Competition and won an award in it. I\'ve also been a World and Platform Designer for a company that is creating a Virtual World. I joined the company when I was 15 and just recently Officially stepped down. I have moderated for a few companies, currently moderating for a Gaming Company in the UK called \'Eutechnyx\', I help moderate their forums primarily for their title NTG. In the mean time I BETA Tested their newest PC game that has just reached Open BETA. I\'ve lent my hand here and there for small modifications on a game called Rigs of Rods and I am looking into helping out anyway that I can here on KSP once I get the full version. Another thing about me is I enjoy to help people, so if you have any questions that you think I may be able to answer my PM box is always open for you guys and I\'m eager to dib my foot into this game. Looking forward to watching this expand! Any questions?

That is what I was wondering. Thanks!

Thanks for confirming that it is allowed. What about Account Sharing? Say we want to split the cost right now and both pay 50/50 or some other percentage. Are we allowed to joint own the account or no?

If by chance someone wished to purchase the game for a friend, how would they go about doing this? Anything specific that needs to be done? I have yet to purchase the full version of KSP but when I get the chance I am going to buy it and when that happens it may have to be purchased by a friend of mine for me. How would we go about working this out? Is there a license?
