  1. Hey, there, I thought I'd finally introduce myself since I've been using these fora for a while for helpful comments, mods, and of course, the omnipresent entertaining banter. I've been playing KSP since just before 0.16 came out, and I'm completely addicted. Here's a summary of my space program's achievements: (This took more tries than the Mun landing) (Something like Apollo 10...) (Paying attention to descent speed is important. Who knew?) (I figured out how to insert new names into the rotation just before I launched this mission. I went for the obvious choice.) (This time, Mike got to go too!) (Surprisingly easy-only my second or third design, which worked perfectly, and stayed in a 150km orbit for over 5 years (~1800 days) before touching back down safely!) (Somehow, the Kerbonaut rotation got screwed up, and Mike lost his seat to Ronvey. Let's say it was because of an especially bad case of Mun-pox. This station was somehow lost into deep space when time-warping another mission in Kerbol orbit to practice for planetary rendezvous operations.) (This time, Buzz was the first out.) I've really only recently started playing with mods, so I think all of these missions were accomplished stock (or, at the very least close to stock) and without mechjeb. Many, many Kerbals were harmed in the making of these screenshots. A bit about myself, in passing: I'm a Ph.D. student in astrophysics at the University of Hawaii's Institute for Astronomy studying extrasolar planets, specifically their geology, atmospheres, and possibly surface processes. I also do a little work on fluvial action on Mars-rivers, fans, groundwater, stuff like that. I can't wait to get my Kerbals to Duna in 0.17 for some fieldwork!
