I find that very odd, I remember from orbiter and everything else that the third stage gets you to the Moon, but the CSM is used for entering orbit. And of course, getting back.

I remember a similar thing happening to when someone posted a drawing that looked like a 4-year old drawing, and everybody got sarcastic, that's why it was locked.

Press alt+F2. If it says anything to do with saving, Its probably because you forgot to add a "Ships" and "VAB" folder in the persistence folder.
