Hey there! Just thought I\'d share my little contraption with you. The Leif STS is able to launch into low Kerbin orbit with enough fuel left in the orbiter to make it to the Mun and back. The ascent is a bit tricky to pull off, since the COG shifts considerably once the upper fuel tanks have been consumed. It is manageable, though. Once MechJeb is unable to pull up further - assuming you launch heads-down - do a rollover and lower the thrust until control of the pitch-channel is restored. Although MechJeb is heavily recommended, you should be able to launch the beast without out it. It\'s something I yet have to pull off myself, though.
