In the latest video of my Kerbal Space Program LP I decided to show off my Mars Curiosity style lander that I made a couple weeks ago! I first launch the lander into orbit, do a de-orbit burn and detach the lander. Next I enter the atmosphere and lose some speed with my heat shield. After losing my heat shield I deploy my parachute which will only slow me down to about 27 m/s so when I get close to the ground I fire up my rockets which are stacked on top of decouplers. With my ASAS on I slow all the way down to the point where my parachute goes away and I lower myself to 2 feet off the ground at a hover and drop my pod, having my rockets fly away. So I recorded a moon mission today. Right after I recorded I checked facebook and saw the Neil Armstrong had died. He was my hero when I was a wee lad and now I will never have a chance to meet him. I would always talk to my friends about all the apollo missions and had the dream of meeting Neil Armstrong. Over the past few years this idea has faded in my mind but now that I know I can never meet him it brought a tear to my eye. I am now disputing WMG's claim about their recording in my video as it is not their recording and my recording does not have any copyright in it.

Changed it so that you CAN use mods now but the challenge is still mainly about doing it with stock parts.

Yes, sorry about that but for my last two videos mobile viewing can not be turned on sadly as my intro has copyrights by AMG or some company where they said you can use the music freely yet they later tell me that I can not allow the video to be viewed on mobile devices.

Today, I present to you my challenge of docking two spacecraft together using landing gear as the claws and an ncs adapter as the point to latch onto. One particular problem it seems is that once docked you may only be docked on for a few seconds and time warping seems to make this problem even worse, so you only have to dock once and take a picture/video of it and it does not have to stay on any longer. Rules: -Stock parts only gives you extra points for me but all mods are allowed -You may only do this in 0.16 -You only have to dock once and for a very short amount of time -mechJEB is allowed but more points for you if you don't use it -Have fun! You can learn how to adjust your orbit to rendezvous and dock through this video: I did this myself, although for some reason I didn't think to record the bit of me actually docking with my satellite. I made my own satellite, but it's a bit more complicated than most of yours... well not yet. The rest comes in my next video. Basically I launched the main unit of a satellite and I will launch the second part in my next episode so subscribe if you want to see how my satellite hooks up! But I am simply going to use landing legs to hitch on to my satellite, which I think means that I cannot warp faster than 2x with it though otherwise the two will uncouple.

Hey guys, I decided to try my luck at a kerbal space program lp and I posted my first video today. As my first project I decided to launch a space station capable of docking (crudely). It uses landing legs to hitch on to a piece of the satellite (I hope, I haven't actually tested this in 0.16). In my next video I will (hopefully) rendezvous with the satellite and show off (hopefully) legit docking in ksp. Testing this right now, I think I will use a VTOL aircraft to land on my aircraft carrier so it doesn't have to be so long.
