  1. Here's something that's been bugging me for a while because i'm not quite sure i'm doing this as efficiently as possible. My usual approach to a polar orbit around an atmo planet is as follows: - Aerobrake on an approximate 0° inclination which sets up an elliptical orbit - Travel to Ap and raise Pe to desired height - Change inclination at the next closest AN/DN - Travel to Pe and circularize Is that the best way it can be done or are there some other tricks that i'm not using? Is there any advantage/disadvantage to aerobraking at 0° or should i adjust my inclination right at SoI change?
  2. ^^This Until you learn how to control, and move around within, an orbit, there is no use trying to get 100ton payloads into space. You can throw one of the stock 'Z-Map' Sats on the top for a little extra 'cool factor' because they don't weight much at all. But the main thing is focusing on using a small, easy to control craft. This way you can focus on learning how to control your maneuvers instead of constantly fighting with an unwieldy rocket.
  3. I bust out laughing when i read this. Only on the KSP forums, would a sentence like this one exist..haha
  4. I have the same issue, but you don't even need to go through all that hassle to fix. Just hit F5 to do a quick save, then hit F9 to load the quicksave. Only takes about 5 seconds and it resets everything back to normal. I don't know what causes it, but i've just gotten into the habit of hitting F5 immediately after i either connect or disconnect the winch.
