  1. Welcome to the forums, potatobabe. I'm glad you are enjoying KSP as much as the rest of us and I see you found some good mods and congratulations on your achievements so far. Have fun playing KSP and go blow up some rockets!
  2. Welcome back to the forums, Drakomis. It's not often I say that but Welcome Back and I'm glad you sorted out your issues. Have fun playing KSP and go blow up some rockets!
  3. To be honest, I don't think it's because of lack of funding, it's that most people go for the cheap deal offers and they don't get as much from it. Still, it looks to be a good game and I might donate some money to it.
  4. It gave me a quick laugh and I like it, how long did it take you do make it?
  5. Wow, thanks. I have just found out that everything in KSP is tiny compared to real life which is not really surprising.
  6. Remember on Monday, an Intelsat sattelite launches into orbit of the Earth with the launch provided by the International Launch Services. Also, in regards to my forum here, I'm requesting moderators for anyone who wishes to sign up. ISS News: Later this month a manned mission on a Soyuz will be launching to the ISS to start a inbewteen period where there are two crews abourd the station. The Dragon Capsule should be un-berthing in a couple of weeks and coming back down to Earth with twice as much cargo as it brought up. On Halloween, a Progress mission will be launching to provide supplies which will be de-orbited next year sometime. Sometime later this year, an EVA should be coming up to do some work on the station. This has been your ISS news, hope you like it.
  7. Thanks for the advice, I will take that into consideration next time. Also, thanks for the congratulations.
  8. Granted, but since you didn't corrupt the last person's wish, Red Dwarf gets flung to another Universe. I wish to have Total Annihilation now.
  9. I like it. Here's my picture of mu first safe/successful Mun landing (when I get it):
  10. I did it finally but there is a need for a rescue mission as I disconnected the transfer stage too early and there is not enough fuel in the lander. My next objective is to get him back since I only have very little fuel and then I will head out to Minmus since I finally nailed landing safely. I'm now going to pretend this was my first Mun landing even though it wasn't but this is my first one without anything blowing up so oh well. During landing the lander did skid a bit so I'm glad I landed on flat terrain.
  11. You probably heard NASA reffering to Martian days as "Sols". No, it is. http://bit.ly/SVORZG Look at synonyms and if you look around it is a Latin word which means Sun. Anyway, enough debating about whether the name of our star is Sol or sun etc. On Topic:
  12. I know one which is ISA MapSat for mapping celestial bodies but I don't think there are many others. There is already a reason to go there and it is simply because you can so you can claim you landed on it etc. There doesn't need to be a WHY just like there isn't a WHY to our lifes.
  13. Heh. I have already seen it as I watched the hatch opening live. On Topic is a news release: Update / SpaceX CRS-1 Mission: October 12 NASA and SpaceX announce that they have jointly formed a CRS-1 Post-Flight Investigation Board. This board will methodically analyse all data in an effort to understand what occurred to engine 1 during liftoff of the CRS-1 mission on Sunday, October 7. While Falcon 9 was designed for engine out capability and the Dragon spacecraft has successfully arrived at the space station, SpaceX is committed to a comprehensive examination and analysis of all launch data, with the goal of understanding what happened and how to correct it prior to future flights. Additional information will be provided as it is available.
  14. Your Welcome, I'm enjoying it and I will keep it up to date for as long as I can.
  15. Lift Off!!! Lift off of the Soyuz/Fregat, bringing two communications sattelites into orbit of the Earth.
  16. Well Done again Nuclear, I'm currently trying to land on the Mun safely which I hope the outcome is good.
  17. Remember, at 18:15 GMT (14:15 EDT), the Galileo sattelites will be launching on the Fregat launch vehicle for the European Space Agency. You can find live coverage here that starts at 17:48 GMT (13:48 EDT) from the ESA. Also on Sunday, Felix will be jumping from his capsule hopefully, not space exploration in any way but I it is sort of relevant.
  18. Welcome to the forums, Logicsol. KSP just draws you in like that, making you addicted to it. It's amazing how you learned more about rocketry from a game than anything else (I'm planning to be an astrophysicst so...) Have fun playing KSP and go blow up some rockets!
  19. Welcome to the forums, Ohm Machre. Just like Damion said, the moderation team are a great help around here and do great jobs. I suggest Nova Punch Remix Pack for the mod you want, as it has lots of different parts that are bigger and you can get payload fairings. Good luck trying to get to the planets, I hope it goes well. Have fun playing KSP and go blow up some rockets!
  20. Welcome to the forums, harleymaster64. You were lucky, when I tried that my kerbal died. Have fun playing KSP and go blow up some rockets!
  21. Welcome to the forums, Fweeba. Make sure to throttle down if you want to disconnect an engine which still has fuel in. Also, don't keep MechJeb forever, just watch it a few times and pick up a few tips and than you can do it yourself. Have fun playing KSP and go blow up some rockets!
  22. A quick news sum up then. In sad news, the Orbcomm sattelite launched by Falcon 9 de-orbited quite a lot earlier than expected due to *Early engine shutdown.* In other news, asteroid 2012 TC4 Fly-bys Earth in about 20 mins with the link here.
  23. Yep they do, Felix needs a Dragon capsule with a Merlin Engine 1 to get very fast. On Topic: Next attempt is on Sunday, the abandoned today's attempt.
