Landing on the new planets should be easy... because they have a atmo. And a atmo slows your speed as a cause of friction and drag during reentry. But since KSP doesn't have heat reentry down yet... it is mostly drag that slows u down. but not enough to land of course! But the fact that KSP isn't always on the realistic side, getting off of Eve and returning to Kerbin is a challenge. Noting that Eve has a 10x thicker atmo then Kerbin. And also slightly bigger then Kerbin. This raises a few things. A 10x thicker atmo is harder to fly through but on the bright side you should have more control of the aircraft on Eve atmo too. On the bad side since Eve is slightly bigger then Kerbin you might need a little more power to get of Eve. To do this your going to need more power and fuel is a problem too. And something also that i dont get is that the rocket you take off on the launch pad on Kerbin, is probably designed to get out of Kerbin gravity. Correct? So isn't the lander probably smaller and has less fuel then the part u launched with. noting the fact that Eve is bigger and has more gravity and more atmo. I am testing and making modules and testing them on Kerbin then doing to math on Eve's statistics. By doing that i can predict how a mission might go. But the odds are to difficult. So how?

So it is new parts? lol and i want my rockects to look pretty too I dont want any round top rockets! I WaNT POINTY ONES! Ones that will make kerbals say: "WTF ITS A ICBM"!!! So are these parts new for 0.17 or is this edition pack a mod or something?

ik that Kerbol had gravity. But it was just scientifcly wrong that with no body it coudn't produce any gravity or density? But in 0.17 this wont be a problem Also nova said in future updates he will be adding solar flares in like 0.18 or 0.19. When will u think docking will come out? im thinking 0.18

i dont undrstand? the Kerbol that we all and love today has no actual surface of anykind or anything to porduce density or gravity The Kerbol that we know today is just a picture of a star that imites light across the Kerbal System?. But!?! IN 0.17 the Kerbol will have a surface... and i can only think of so many things poeple will do.. not only smart but just plain stupidness here are 2 pictures of what the sun will look like and the new sky that will be coming out in 0.17! also the mod i used for the voyager was made by nova.

In 0.17 update one of many things will be coming out. Like the new IVA's, and the new planets! Now ive only gathered so much information that i cant put it all out in this thread. So i am just going to put a few pictures i have and show u guys what to expect of these new planets. (this thread is probably not 100% correct so dont take all my word for it.) Well Here is how the mission went down... I launch the Voyager 1 and my main objective was to do a flyby of the moon. But then when the Mun flung me out and onto a kerbin flyby kerbin flung me out right into Minmus. I was so happY! i got to do 2 flyby's like the real Voyager but instead they were moons. after that Minmus flung me out into kerbin flyby again and then Kerbin flung me out even faster! and that is how i reached a speed of 11 miles a second.

i payed 18 dollars for the game and i would pay 30 if i had too:)

This is Voyager 1. It is amazing how much this space craft has achieved. So far Voyager 1 has taken me to the Mun, And Minmus. By using there gravity i have boosted the speed of the little space craft into my record zone. Believe it or not but my Voyager 1 is racing through space at 11 miles a second! Feel free to say if u have reached a highr speed and tell us how? With What? How did u start? All those things to prove that you reached a higher speed. My next record i would like to set is when 0.17 comes out i am going to build another Voyager 1 and then send it to Murs, and the new Gas gaint. By also using there gravity i will try to boost my speed into the ultra-record! I would like to achieve atleast 20 miles a second! To clarify i never hacked, and this mod doesn't have a infinate fuel hack. I did this becuase i was in the mood for a Voyager 1 scenario. The mod comes with the Sat. parts and thats it. If u want to download this mod to see its on one of Nova's threads. And also i like to do things farley, and not go lie in peoples faces that i did this with no hacks. So just to clarify

As we all know my last thread i had put-in the wrong url for the pictures. so here are the pictures for real this time. feel free to talk and say anyhting about the new planets.

So by now everyone should now that in the new 0.17 update there will be 4 new planets made by (Nova)! At this point everyone have a general talk about these planets and there moons and bring up things like how we can get to these planets, or how certain ships effect on ur landings orbits...etc.. Or just talk about how cool the planets look! 1 planets i dont have a pic of is the new lava planet that may not have lava until other future updates. Will it be in 0.17? or it i will be in 0.17 but just without the lava lol Here are the pics i got:

There were a few incorrect facts there of what TheProdigy said but most right. The green gas gaint will only have 3 moons. Ice Moon, Oceanic Moon, rocky moon. And Eve will have a 7x thicker atmoshpere then Kerbin but most said by him were right (no effense)

As we all know in the next update (0.17) there will be many changes. But one change besides the IVA's, was the new planets!! That are going to be added into the Kerbin System. If i am wrong plz say so. From what ive heard there will be 4 new planets. :1. The Lava rocky planet. (moons {?} ) :2. The Purple Planet Eve. (moons {atleast 1} ) :3. Our home Kerbin (moons {2} ) :4. The Red Murs Planet (moons {atleast 1} ) :5. The Green Gas Gaint (moons {3} ) Now that is all ik about the new planets that are going to be added in the 0.17 update. I may be wrong but feel free to say so becuase i want to know everything! Also another thing that bugs me is that all these people on youtube keep finding these epic pics of these new planets and i cant find 1 pic anywhere on the internet, or the ****ing formuns!! So if u have any pics that you know of our any vidoes plz feel free to post it below. I want ur opinions! becuase this game is just going to get better:cool:

Now i am wondering when the heat effects are done are they going to have a effect on the spacecraft if the craft doesnsnt have a heat shield what will happen? And my 2nd question will the heating effects be able to see in the new IVA as they go thoough the atmoshpere does that effects anyhting inside the ship. Ik many new things are to be added in 0.17. Also my 3rd last question. is the reentry just for the planet Kerbin. Or for the other planets that are going to be added to the game like Eve, or The new Murs like planet ? will they have the heating reentry to?
