  1. Yea, when I built my space station I for the most part kept it to just bringing up the pieces, but I couldn't help myself and I had to include a few satellites on a few of the launches ;P Like I said, its sort of a thrill having to figure things out on the fly. Its fun not knowing if everything is going to work perfectly and having to come up with solutions when things inevitably go wrong
  2. I think some of the joy of packing lots of things into one mission is the unknown factor. Just not knowing if everything is going to work is kind of a thrill. But I think its also fun having to make things up on the fly when things go wrong. I dunno, maybe that's just me xD
  3. I dunno about you guys but I like to pack as many things into a mission as possible. Its not just "Send one satellite into orbit" its "Launch three satellites then a Mun lander just for fun". I dunno why. Maybe its just that I like to save the trip and get as much accomplished as possible. Sorta like this: I had never been to Jool let alone Laythe. But I brought a crap ton to do. 3 Satellites, 3 Rovers, a landing pod. I just like to pack as much as I can into a mission. Maybe its because I'm not so experience in interplanetary flight that I don't want to make the effort 3-4 times to the same place when I can just do it all in one shot. However the downside to my "DO EVERYTHING AT ONCE" strategy is that I rarely test all of the components individually. I just sort of send them and hope everything works according to plan XD (which it normally doesn't) But anywho, what about you guys. Do you like making precise single purpose launches or are you like my and jam as much to do onto every mission as you can?
  4. Dude, there are several people (including me) who are waiting for their submissions to get counted and put on the scoreboard. Its like you've ignored them....
  5. Around 3 minutes in my docking "attempts..." Half of it caused by me trying to dock with out docking clamps (assumed they were built into the 6 way thingy) and half caused by my incompetence...
  6. Thanks Would I have to include the weight of both vehicles in my score xD? But man, I have enough trouble getting them up there let alone getting two of them to dock XD Thanks, although built into .20 is a weight calculator so pulling that up right now it weights 7.12 Tons. So yea... I get the extra 20 points
  7. *Holds up shiveringly embarrassing entry...* Yea... I know... Not too impressive... but I gave it my best shot... So I believe I got space and orbit... dunno about the weight challenge. I don't have an easy way to calculate that. ( This is the ship file in case you'd like to see it.) Thanks for the fun challenge =)
  8. Well this video pretty much explains it: So yea. Basically try to get as high as you can with just sepratrons. I'm not going to set a specified payload as I assume people will try to optimize it themselves. I know my attempt is probably pretty terrible in comparison with what you all can do so I'm expecting to get trounced quite badly but I still think itll be cool Records: Popuptwo - 65,061 ( )Please note, I do not hate your computers but I do want to see them spin their gears on this one
  9. Just asking a little bit of a question, do you guys plan out EVERY single detail of what your missions are going to be (Get into this orbit, burn this much) or are you guys like me. Just sorta wing it. Have a general idea of what you want to do and just...well wing it... figure out whats possible and just explore. I sorta like to just make a space ship I think that can do the job, attach a few fun things to do once I get there, not test anything, just try it and see what happens. Example of Winging it, "I would like to do stuff at Laythe.... Now... How do I get there...": I think eventually I would maybe like to get to the planning everything out stage, but I love the sense of adventure as to trying to figure stuff out on the fly.
  10. Well, posted another video. This time I derp with some rockets
  11. I take another stab at the Mun... and fail miserably as usual...
  12. Oops! Didn't realize that, thanks (Panic mode to go change all my titles and stuff xD)
  13. Thanks xD Yea sorry about that xD They're new features to ME so xD but I did try out the IVA in the next video Thanks
  14. Well, I did a little short series back in the demo to see if I wanted the actual game: Here Dey iz So to summarize the series, I set myself a goal, if I landed on the Mun I'd get the full game. Now for the most part I made it (a little twisting of the definition of the word "landing" but eventually I made it xD ) But anyway, I decided to make a few videos on my goal to properly land on the mun with the amazing new features... and you know what I found? I still stink at this game xD but I still had some fun with these attempts xD So I thought I'd share this little videos with ya (When ever I make more 1.7 vids I'll update this thread.) I derp with some Rockets (.16 but still good I think) I'm a LITTLE Rusty New Features Taking a Stab at the Mun
  15. Attempt 13 is up. I finally made it (sort of xD) but It counts enough from me xD
