  2. lol, Steam didn't even mention an update, just did the checking cache and it validated a missing file, giving me the new science stuff, woot! Quick question for devs, how exactly does the science tree work for parts mods? I noticed my mods like crew manifest and RBR seem to be working fine, but no hide nor hair of KW AEIS or even mechjeb. They only sandbox? Regardless, still awesome update, thanks! XD

Thank you so much for not only giving me a way to fulfill the childhood dream bad health will not allow me, and thank you so much for making a superb game that is both entertaining as well as smart. Thank you for mod support, thank you for community interaction (One of the best communities, I might add), thank you for hours of delight, and thank you for a video game that is big, but humble enough to be run well on aging hardware people like me cannot readily afford to replace or upgrade. ^^ You guys are beyond words amazing, inspiring and awesome! Please, keep at what you do, I for one look foreward to what the future holds with you, and I know I'm not the only one who will say that over and over again. ^^

  6. I'd just say its due to mods not being needed as much with all the updates lately. We're practically on the verge of the game itself making its own custom engines through r&d, so no need for as many new parts, and communications and mining will be implemented sometime eventually too... Ideas stem alot from mods, the community in general, and sometimed the team even takes on modders from time to time to suppliment this growth. Its a growing game, and alot of those gaps that once needed filling are being covered by the vanilla game itself. I agree, I'll miss many of the mods when they get dropped off too, but its a slow process, and there'll always be someone who wants something to stay bad enough...
  7. You good sir, are a genius! Aesthetics aren't too much of a concern in my opinon when you have tanks you can CUSTOM SIZE ON THE FLY! Brilliant! In terms of texture, maybe a simple two-colour base for the tanks that'll not really look that odd while stretched, forego logo. But all in all, not a big issue, love this, you just made a wonderful thing. XD

I'm really excited we're getting into this sort of things, looking foreward to whenever it comes out, hopefully soon but never should rush a good thing! All in all, go Devs! keep up the amazing work, really looking foreward to more awesome stuff from you guys. ^^
  9. New ASAS feels like Mechjeb's smartASS, which I much preferred anyway. Waiting on mechjeb to come out of hiding, then I shall build anew.

The moment I saw there was new planets in 1.6, and knew one was a gas giant, my curiosity/scientific-interest/need-of-super-kerbalized-death spurred me into making a simple single-kerbal ship to shoot off for Jool. I made it there fairly easy, and discovered that not only does Jool have an atmosphere of gravy-density once deeper down, but also that Jeb gets so happy to be on the big green beauty he begins to breakdance like a madman as physics break down hardcore. XD Lol, but my first actual 'landing' had to be Eve. I was surprised to find it had more gravity as well as a dense atmosphere than Kerbin, and after stranding about 3 other rescue pods, I have decided orbital missions are favorable until I can work something innovative out... ^^;
  15. Imma so happy to launch with nuclear engines from the munbase now... And that is only the start of it. Sorry everything, I've gained new way to SPACE! Thanks Sky! You have done something AMAZING! PS, cannot wait for the thing to look a bit better too, esthetic improvements, however, not overly important to the entirety of its splendour...

Think the pancake tanks use practically identical parameters as well, only difference seems to be rescaling of their sizes and capacity, otherwise the same save for the slightly differing textures, but that's aesthetic... Could be wrong about that, though, just what I saw rescale being the only thing different mostly in the files when doing some minor touchups on the connector nodes sizes in the newly downloaded cfg files... (Btw, Thanks K&W! You guys rock! )
  17. I am almost in tears over how happy I am to hear from the creator of this pack again, especially after the old thread from before the purge was closed until further notice... Good to have you guys back on the modding scene with this amazing pack, and I look foreward to all the amazing updates that are yet to come!
  18. I would like to see someone make an independent plugin that just gave a sort of achievement system like this... Maybe just like an in-game checklist sort of idea, the mod filling it in and keeping a record within the game when you fill certain criteria, like first time in orbit, all the way to multi-planetary landings and returns with all Kerbals alive and accounted for... Could be something simple that just gives a sense of achieving things 'one step at a time,' adds that sort of success feeling, and gives an idea to set goals on as you develop more ships and stations... Could even give challenges too, for example; flyby three planets in one flight, or put a station composed of so many parts in orbit around a specific body, the possibilities are endless... Either way, I wholly back this endeavour!
  19. Yeah, Moho transits usually go the same way for me, I think... It'll definately be one of the challenges on an interplanetary tour of the kerbin system, and a successful return mission from that baked dirtball's sizzling surface alone will be an accomplishment in its own right... And will take some careful planning of fuel reserves to get there, and then back again... But I was just recalling one way I managed to get there with surprising success a while back was by slingshotting off Eve, actually... Won't lie, it was a damn miracle of sorts, because what started as an attempted returning trip to Eve itself, turned into a screwed up time warp on my part that left me swinging past my mark into an orbit with a periapsis just shy of Moho's orbit... But the ship had plenty of fuel to spare, and was mildly lightweight under a dozen or so tanks of fuel for the Eve ascent attempt to begin with, so it didn't take a huge burn to do the descent for Moho after a few transfers and dumping of empty canisters into the transfer engines, and I managed to avoid blowing up during the final burn... XD Since you're not planning on landing at Eve anyway, maybe this could be feasible? It'll be tricky to pull off... but perhaps save you a few thousand delta-Vs if it can be done... ^^;
  20. I've been seeing a few good modders returning lately, and I've probably been waiting the most yearningly for these guys to be showing up again really soon... I can see I'm one of the many awaiting their return, too... ^^; This pack has become essential in many of my ship designs... And there really aren't many packs out there with a good solid, polished selection of motors and tanks across the board (including the infamous 3.75m range) that fill the gap like KW... At least at this point in time, in my opinion... ^^; Methinks they went Awol due to the forum crash... I just hope to see KW rocketry have its long-awaited official update in the foreseeable future...
