  1. KSP is crashing for me during loading, just as the progress bar reaches the end. It loads fine with NP removed, but crashes when I put NP back in. Here's the contents of the crash folder, any idea what the problem is? https://www.dropbox.com/s/u1klyfuzl5h8szd/error.log https://www.dropbox.com/s/6lvvf2h6swxxqrs/output_log.txt
  2. Boats hadn't been mentioned even once in this thread until you posted.
  3. How do you propose he get all of the mods without him knowing what they are?
  4. Consider that a vending machine that dispenses nuclear warheads isn't very much different to one that dispenses cans of coke. Many companies make things with far more interesting uses than you'd expect. The astronauts on Apollo 8 used silly putty to keep their tools in place.
  5. You're thinking too inside the box. The tracks could simply be an overlay, the friction could simply be added friction. Then you need seperate dust overlays for each wheel type for each planet.
  6. How on Earth do you get the upgrades for the nuclear reactors and things?
  7. The first man-made object to reach space was a V-2 rocket launched on the third of October. The point is that correlation does not equal causation. In the same way that the crashing of those two ships did not cause the V-2 to be launched, the opening of that bank (do note, the concept of the loan is even mentioned in the Old Testament of the Bible, thereby disproving your "no loans in Roman times" statement, and also showing that your banker did not invent the loan) did not cause us to go from "knights and castles" to the development of the Saturn V in five hundred years.
  8. Think about it, in the Industrial Era you couldn't crash the HMS Curacoa and the RMS Queen Mary into eachother and technology crawled along as a result, and on October 2nd 1942 the captain of the HMS Curacoa crashed the HMS Curacoa into the RMS Queen Mary and all of a sudden we went from having nothing in space to having an object in space in just one day! Imagine if we could get another innovation as impactful now as that collision was then.

    How are paradoxes resolved?
  10. No matter how good your computer is, you're not going to make a magnet stick to aluminium.
  11. Entirely wrong, try not to spread false information.
  12. Having the GameData folder already does this. It's not hard to delete a folder.
  13. It *might* be possible, but why would they bother?
  14. He's part of the media team. His job is to do that.
  15. I honestly think that having different genders of kerbals would add just that little bit of extra detail to the game. After all, the more we recognise a kerbal and see how they're unique from other kerbals, the sadder we'll be when we inevitably kill them.
  16. If it's just a personal thought, why would you post it? Also, that's wrong and you should feel silly for having said it.
  17. School isn't that bad. At least, my school isn't. Most of the teachers are good, some of the classes are interesting and it's generally just a fun time. That said, I can't wait to leave so that I can get a job and actually have freedom to do mostly whatever I want. For adults saying that school is the best time of your life, please remember this. You have money. You choose what food you eat. You choose what clothes you wear. You choose where you go in your free time. You get the freedom to decide for yourself what's best for you. Children don't get that.
  18. To make sure one gets there. Right. And the other five? How do you expect them to raise animals on Mars, anyway? There's no land to graze. There's nothing. It's a barren, radioactive, inhospitable desert.
  19. There's two big systems of measurement. Imperial and Metric. Metric is kilograms and centimeters and meters, and everything is based on tens. Imperial has pounds and inches and yards, and everything is based on whatever the hell the creator thought made a good number. Officially, only America and one other country (UK?) use Imperial, because it is vastly inferior to Metric.
  20. Mass is constant for a given object. No matter where it is, its mass will stay the same. Weight is mass multiplied by the gravitational strength acting on the object. So, two identical objects with one being on the Earth and the other on the Moon will have equal mass, but the one on Earth will have a higher weight.
  21. Mirrors can reflect light, yeah. But high powered lasers designed to melt steel simply vaporise the mirrors, since no mirror is perfectly reflective.
  22. Or just read Report on Planet Three. One of the first chapters has the Martians mocking people who could consider life to exist on a such a toxic planet, with an atmosphere shielding life from the vital radiation it needs and strange and destructive phenomena such as "fire".
  23. Is it possible to get those hex maps for both ore and kethane from the KSP folder? Since we can't overlay the two ingame, it'd be nice to be able to do it ourselves.
