What is most important for you when making ships
tttyto replied to AmpsterMan's topic in KSP1 Discussion
-BIG. i like to build 4 x crewtank + any pods. so it count as 23 persons craft!! -make launcher so easy and stable as possible -i always like to focus on the landings, i make it good as possible to make EVA-surface fun, like as barbie with her pink house/caravan/pony for a little girls. -

new picture still having a lot fun with your lander!! I made a rover of it! it was a nightmare with centre of mass but solved it with counterweights while launchin it. can you add more interior stuffs inside TML in the future? not only internal instruments but just for a fashion like as bed or refrigator or helmets on hook(i see your capsule kerbals is helmless) or such more? also you inspired me to try out to make my own mod, i am not exprienced with 3dsmax or blender(too hard for me) but just saw that with google sketchup is possible. i can draw everything very fast with google sketchup, its my job. very good lander, just simple. and no own lander legs and engine so we can play with building own landing and legs what it make more fun then example all complete boring dragon mod. Yesterday i made a lot screenshots, had so much fun! <iframe class="imgur-album" width="100%" height="550" frameborder="0" src="http://imgur.com/a/IMBq0/embed"></iframe> -
[UNOFFICIAL/FANMADE] 0.18 Discussion thread

like to see a economy in easy form(you still have infinite money), it could be easy implented. its funny to compare the price of your rocket with your friends. it could break open a new challenges too with price costs challenges. also one of the buildings added would be good; -testing room: parachute stress test drop, landing legs test, wobble shake-room test, anything you want test to before launching and finding out after a hour gaming a part is failing. -robotic building: build your own robots or rovers. it has own smaller parts. it can be moved to VAB building in his POD from robotic building, that POD is a lot much lighter so also easier then manned pods. -mission control centre; video on mainpage is a hint its coming? i hope it can takeover something from mechjeb as assisted interplanetair tranfers. -launchpad, design your own launch pad. -
i am bored off too and dunno anymore what i can do.

What do you use most often Mods or vanilla parts?
tttyto replied to Grand Lander's topic in KSP1 Discussion
it depends I dont use overpowered mods, or adds other rockets. I am happy with existed vanilla parts. I use often crew tank and moon-buggy mod to build moon-rover. and mechjeb? I have doubt about it. mechjeb take funs of kerbal space program away sometimes but really useful for example safe warp time, coordinated landing or somewhat. -
thanks! it works! I already did search but didnt find.

1 dont go straight up, just slowly go to horizon. 270 degree(left) or 90 degree(right) while launching, eventually follow the yellow icon in your compassball. 2 when in space, switch over to the map (press M) then go burn the rocket and you see the blue line become rounder and rounder. try to keep pointing to 270 or 90, or follow yellow icon. 3 wait until the blue line meets to the moon, then you also will see yellow line, this means that the moon can capture you with his gravity, then its ok. 4 warp the time until the yellow line become the blue line, this mean that the moon gravity captured you. then you are done. *without mechjeb, mechjeb always make a orbit first, it cost more fuel then going straight to the mun.
-
Houston, I have problem. mechjeb itself works perfectly but yesterday I accidently moved "orbital operations" off the screen. I cannot pick it back into the screen. How to solve? thanks in advance

why always capsules is on the top of rockets? why not under? even I found this is safer; emergency escape if rocket fails, it just fall down below. also i see its much more stable
-
its not bug or somewhat. so DONT edit or mod it, otherwise then the challenge of KSP is gone. even it can happen with XL parachute too if you attach it to heavier parts ie 3 manned pods. Because you going too fast to down or your parts is too heavy to keep sticky. When the parachute FULLY deploys, then the drag force will be too great that it pulls apart from your capsule. there is a few simple solutions; 1 add more parachutes. or 2 use conscruct strut to make parachute more stickglue to your capsule. (my favorite solution) or 3 lower speed(brake) with rocketengine first before re-enter. also dont forget before you re-enter to turn SAS OFF, otherwise SAS will pull your capsule back to orginal position, its bad for your chute, it can break. other guy here said that you must deploy it later, he is wrong. deploy it early as possible, it brakes your capsule to affordable speed, also it steers automaticly for pods without SAS. its one of my first designs with chutes. constructal strut is the key to keep your rockets stable.

making a baby-lander? auto-pilot landing is working too good.

I called my one of best rocketbuilds to armstrong. its enough, more other things dont make a sense and is undue. Neil Armstrong himself is also very subtile.

I prefer the moon of any gasplanet why? most gasplanets is an gaint planet comparised by the rocky planets, factor thousands or tenthousands bigger. imagine that if you landed on moon Titan and you can see a gaint planet of saturnus on the sky. I see some people choose for gas planets but landing on gasplanet is impossible, even with the future star trek technology. 1. the gravity of gasplanet is more then ten times more of earth's gravity. your own weight will crush yourself until a pancake. 2. the pressure of gas is extreme high, how deeper you go, how hotter and higher pressure it will be, even hotter then on surface of the sun. nothing survives that, even not with special probes.
