  1. damn... ive lost my NERVA-engine so close to the missiontarget... "Bill is not amused..." "] but at the end, the lost of his NERVA was not that big thing after he realised that he get splashed down into an ocean... luck for him that Jeb has arived him after 8 years! of swimming around his pod as we all know Jeb, he do sometimes some real silly things... like dont check for enuff fuel at the start to return home or maybe reach land... maybe half the way to the beach but out of fuel Jeb sayd: "Hey, we've made 27,9km from your pod Bill.... WE ARE AWESOME!!" now, hopefully Bob will get his friends back to Kerbin ... ...maybe his two fellows will get off with the two escapepods when they arived a stabile orbit around Kerbin... they sayd they want to see Kerbin from orbit... "silly" ...now Bob, its your turn -acd
  2. Hello everyone, finaly ive done my Duna-Sample-Return-Mission successfully The idea of this mission came from the NASA/ESA MarsSampleReturn-Mission (MSR) planed for 2018/2020: wiki Ive used some mods to realise a very small probe. The pod, the decouplers and the chutes was downsized (and the pod retextured) by myself also to fit into a very small probe. I know, the conic tank is a bit cheaty because of the fuel-weight-ratio (500l at 0.9t) but u know now: i want a "very small probe" So here the pics now: (description) ..oh, and yeah.. my probe got a hard groundcontact and lost her rocketmotor but at this point she dont need the motor to continue the mission <iframe class="imgur-album" width="100%" height="550" frameborder="0" src="http://imgur.com/a/yczX0/embed"></iframe> hope u enjoy the pics and get some ideas for your own missions -acd
  3. what see my red and sleephungry eyes? ... your new project (curiosity) got a mechanical arm to "grap"/"take" something? ...woooooaaahh! >NEED< !! with this arm my probe-challenge can get the last thing to rise up to perfectionality Yogui87, i hope the arm has some moveing parts - maybe rudimentary like a landingleg - but please give it the ability to move thumps up m8 here my mars.. erm Dunaprobe at taking a soilsample with an old and rusty landingleg and deploy it in the box of the small yellow ladder ("Ceep it clean" ): (the mission is based on the NASA/ESA MarsSampleReturn-Mission which will start around 2018/2020) finaly, with a real movable arm to do some real impressive science, you will made my day EDIT: oh.. and of course, i finaly get the sample home to Kerbin (oh, u noticed Bill? Yeah, the Rescuerescuemission is on the way now. The first try with Jeb was doomed by low fuel but he was able to collect Bill in the Ocean of Eve. Now Bob will try to save his friends - and now with MORE fuel )
