I create a hill (more like a slight rise) nearby, place a small, insignificant little party flag on top, and put a sign at the bottom of the old hill repeating what I said before. NASAFanboy's hill + a sign.

Jacket. Old Mk-1 Command Pod or new Mk-1 Command Pod? (All of the KSP veterans out there should know what I'm talking about.)

MY Kerbals launch a massive Aerospike bombardment on the hill, spearing everybody on it. I then proceed to plant a flag on the highest point, which just happens to be the Aerospike that skewered the hill's previous owner and place a sign at the bottom which contains a specific statement that I expect this hill's next owner to read. My lead-lined, Aerospike-covered hill with a flag on top and a sign saying"EDIT: I have managed to restore this thread to it's original quality (nearly), and I expect it to stay that way." at the bottom.

Ooh... getting into Interstellar, are we? -
[AAR] BaseCamp- A Journey to Space -- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY

Definitely solar sails. Solar wind in the Kerbol system has to be MUCH stronger than in our system, so I'd think that they'd be much more effective. -

I do have to agree with you on that point, Mek. Also, it's fun trying to anticipate SWARM's next move. -

Hey, I didn't mean what I said literally. -
[AAR] BaseCamp- A Journey to Space -- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY

I just went over all of the old A Journey to Space stories and I realized that I facilitated the creation of SWARM in the old universe... I sorta hate myself now for that. -

I would like to propose an expedition to the Foundry orbiting Minmus by a B9K-controlled probe to analyze the objects produced by it rapidly and efficiently. The probe would assume an orbit with the same SMA as the Foundry, but would maintain a general position either A: behind it, B: in front of it, or C: in a pseudo-orbit of it. -
Challenge of the Highest Order: The Grand Tour
ramnrmeul replied to Captain Sierra's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I think you should bring the Eve lander to Eve with only the fuel needed to get to is destination and fill it with fuel when the Grand Tour ship arrives. -

Positive gravioli... Wouldn't that be, in effect, an anti-graviton? Theoretically, those aren't even supposed to exist. -
Something tells me that the covert ops section of KSC is: A. Technically a separate organization relative to KSC and only shares their launchpad, B. Is called Section 31, and C. Was established when KSC was founded.

[AAR] Vengeance: A Journey To Space -- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY
ramnrmeul replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
Damn it! SWARM must have managed to develop time-travel. My guess is that SWARM modified a spatial-distortion drive into a temporal-distortion drive. Not that big of a leap, if you're an AI with a lot of processing power and knowledge of the theory of relativity (and all other theories related to time-travel). -

You can count me as a lurker... That's what I generally do around here. Seems something like the changelings from DS9. -
Project Dizzy - playing with centrifugal force
ramnrmeul replied to Potterus's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
If you could spin it fast enough and release it at the right time, you could send stuff to the Mun! Also, I'm pretty sure that with a long cable, you could grab crafts that will have a close encounter with your ship. -

Nice... Do you have an image of the orbit of the debris? -
I can give you an explanation for myself: the amount of time I am allowed on the Internet has decreased quite a bit for me. Thus, I have to choose between the forums and writers like you and YouTube and players like Scott Manley. Most of the time I choose Scott, but every once in a while I check in here.

[AAR] Vengeance: A Journey To Space -- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY
ramnrmeul replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
I have a good memory as well...Odds are that the ship that was seen in Kerbin orbit the first time around is some type of craft designed to monitor the condition of time and space in the vicinity of the Kerbol system and happened to run out of juice near Kerbin because it detected that temporal anomaly in low Kerbol orbit. (I think. I'm just putting my Doctor thinking cap on.) -
[AAR] Vengeance: A Journey To Space -- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY
ramnrmeul replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
As I said, I'm a practical thinker. And I bet whatever it was ran out of power (milliseconds) before it could reach it's target (AKA Kerbin). -

[AAR] Vengeance: A Journey To Space -- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY
ramnrmeul replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
I'm talking if SWARM ends up being created AGAIN. Either that, or whatever was parked in Kerbin orbit that caused SWARM to be created comes and attacks this time around, because of the rapid advances of Kerbal technology.
