  1. Ah... see that was kind of dumb of me.... @EndlessWaves: Yeah... but when your Orbit is at 90° the rotation does not change your position on Kerbin, but rather adds to your orbiting velocity. So North/South Orbit is best to map Kerbin, as You have Kerbin practically changing the plane of your orbit in respect of an absolut position on Kerbin.... easy, right?
  2. thank you ever so much for your help! ok, I got the basic concepts of inclination change... but to map all kerbin I would have to do a perpetual inclination change, don't I? so how to do that? other people got a whole map of kerbin but vy simply orbiting around it I just would get a small stripe. so what to do? a perpetual burn normal to my orbit?
  3. Hello all, I'm trying to Map Kerbin with the Mapping satellite mod and encountered somewhat of a problem: I got my Satellite in a stable 80 km orbit and It is working fine... but it is just recording a stripe. Now I thought: right, it has to somehow move from south to north (or vise versa) (I have the orbit on around 90°). But how to do this? I mean how can you permanently rotate your orbit without messing with your altitude? And by the way: It won't map while warping. Is there a fix for that or is it simply not possible? Thanks for your help Angeldust
  4. Hey Guys. Yeah.. so my Mac just cut of the important part of the window so I never saw.... silly meeee. Ok, I got it... now there is just one thing: practise, practise, practise... my wife hates me for this Thanks everyone for the helpful tips
  5. Thank you very much, guys! This is awesome! I'll start and put it to work
  6. Hello dear all, so I'm pretty new to this game but had my expiriences (the first Mun-landing was almost orgasmic ) but now I'm stuck. See, now I want to try Orbital rendevouz and stuff and I'm hitting some unexpected problems. I want to get my craft in ancircular orbit around kerbin. But When I want to adjust my Apo- and Periapsis I always miss the point where I want to be because I'm looking at the map, betting close, and then I have to cut the thrust, so I have to SWITCH BACK to normal mode and hit my keyboard very hard to cut the engines... yeah so I normally miss the point for (for example) 100 km about kerbin. Do you have any tips how to cirumvent this problem? Maybe a possibility to steer and control throttle or is there a nifty tool to calculate my speed for orbit (so I don't have to change to map view)? Hope you can help me. Best Jonathan
