Mechanical Mouse Industries - Kethane & Payload Packs Released!!!
dendane replied to Dani-Sang's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
On the new planets too ? -
Since the Kethane mod isn't updated yet, I had to find other ways of refueling my kerbals. So I thought why not put some huge fuel tanks on the Mun ( and later other planets / mun's ) and refuel them that way using the refuel part from the orbital plugin. A real pain to get into orbit, but they hold around 10k fuel after landing, enough for a couple refueling sessions

She does watch She even makes the rocket sound when liftup

If only they knew that

I do know it's open source, but it could take weeks after every release before there is an update if r4m0n disappeared, just look at the awesome Kethane plugin. It might be more enjoyable to you, but when you have an 11 month old todler who wants your attention 24/7 the ascent and landing autopilot is a godsend

I'm sure it is, and I'm sure you had fun doing so, but for me personally it's no fun, and judging by the amount of people using Mechjeb I'm sure I'm not the only one, that feels this way.
-
Let me first say that I love this game, but like alot of people the only way for me to fully enjoy it is using plugins like for example Mechjeb. Sure I could ( and did ) land on other celestial bodies without it, but it was a very frustrating proces for myself, and it didn't really feel like a game anymore. With the help of Mechjeb and other plugins I made mun bases, colonized other planets, just had fun. Even going to sleep dreaming of my next missions Now I'm afraid what will happen when / if after x ammount of updates the modders stop updating their plugins, and we are left with a vanila experience, no assisted ascend / landing, phase angle calculations, pro grad, retro grad on click of a button.....etc... Speaking for myself I would probably stop playing. And as far as I can see from the 'to do' list from the developpers, there isn't any mention of a Mechjeb type feature planned ? I'm not asking for them to change the vanilla experience, as I'm sure a lot of more smarter people then myself love the challenge, but an option to have a 'computer' type module who would facilitate the experience ( like mechjeb ) feels like a must if they want the game to remain accessible to a more wider audience ? What do you think ?

Just want to thank you, your plugin is now an essential part off all my missions -
http://i.imgur.com/9E0hZ.png Lands perfectly on every planet, just can't seem to find a good way to get it into orbit around Kerbin (besides changing the persistence file). Mechjeb seems to go crazy with it.

Could you design one for Laythe ?

Mechanical Mouse Industries - Kethane & Payload Packs Released!!!

First post just to say thank you for this awesome mod It's so "simple" yet opens so much new possibilities. Thanks to your mod the first "Kerbal commercial touristic flight" was a huge success. To succeed, the Kerbals had to set up a kethane detecting satellite, a Kethane digger, a Kethane supply rover (in case the tourists landed to far away, and to avoid crashing trying to relocate ), and a lander with some empty Kethane tanks. But all went well ! A simple two stage rocket, carried 3 billionaires Kerbals to the mun and landed with an almost empty tank, filled it's 4 Kethane tanks, and converted it back to fuel for the trip back to Kerbin. The billionaires enjoyed a couple of Mun walks while waiting for the (looooooong) fuel conversion. Many beautiful pictures were taken. They had just enough fuel to set a trajectory to Kerbin and land ( thanks to the parachutes ) with an almost intact lander ( putting a parachute on top of a Kethane converter isn't such a good idea apparently, as it got snapped off ) http://imgur.com/a/TK47Y So again thank you, and I really hope you will keep working on this mod during the course of the "kerbal space program" game development.
