  1. This, and as previously stated, I forgot to add a decoupler initially.
  2. This is what I used to land on the Min. I added a decoupler because... well... I messed up and had to land on the surface using my transfer/deburn stage. Can make it there and back with fuel spare.
  3. What are the decouplers for? To keep it off the ground?
  4. 123,408m Not a lot, but only one stage... and never went over 1km altitude (due to a misread). I know it says 2 stage, but stage 1 is a stilt to get my craft in the air in the first place. Craft and pic linked. C7 required. Should be able to improve on this when I can use my real computer. EDIT: Won\'t let me link craft file. Here\'s screeny.
  5. Definitely well earned! Congrats C7!
  6. There\'s been a few similar challenges, but this is really just a variant of docking. The only thing (that I know of) that can fly forever in the atmosphere is that drone... and even then, it\'s too fast and very hard to control I believe.
  7. What was that you used to close the cage? I don\'t recognise THAT part! WANT! I\'m working on a rescue vessel that will catch ships 'lost' inorbit in a similar fashion, but was having trouble keeping them in the basket.
  8. *frantically clicks around for the launchpad button*
  9. Awesome! Keep up the good work!
  10. Phase 1: Orbit Phase 2: De-orbit burn Phase 3: Fall straight to earth Phase 4: Fire stabilizing SRB's Phase 5: Detach srb's and use liquid fuel Phase 6: Crash DAMMIT
  11. I'll get some pics, gimme a sec. EDIT: Too much lag, it's like 50 escape towers stacked on top of each other. LAG INBOUND
  12. I can get close using only 2 non stock parts (thrusters and wings), but I wanted to see how close you guys could do. Maybe this could be the beginning of a civilian space program for kearthlings!
  13. I just came PRETTY close, but couldn't quite see the station. GRRR
  14. Not gonna lie, you had me worried after you released the sattelite and started your burns.
  15. The original plan was to use the SRB's for the deorbit burn and targeting. You can make a 2 stage SRB for deorbit burn and targetting if you would like.
  16. If they can do that with sundays pack, go for it.
  17. My friends and I have come up with a strange, yet addicting challenge I wish to share with you. 1. Get into orbit. 2. After at least 1 complete rotation, you are to use a single solid fuel engine and blast yourself towards the launch pad. 3. Closest missile to reach launch pad wins. RULES: Sunday's pack ok, but the small (stock) solid fuel engine is to be the final deorbiting burn that propels you toward the tower No parachutes... missiles don't use parachutes. Orbit can be any altitude HINTS When we have been doing this, we orbit usually 3 times to line ourselves up with the tower. A bunch of SAS and wings are highly recommended to ensure a straight orbit.
