  3. just make sure you have it on full throttle. and ditch those SRB's once they are out. T is very effective. and near the end it becomes very very very unstable. personally i wouldn't know. i don't know much about computers except i haven't been able to launch cos my computer crashes every time i load that thing. i have only had one launch from it
  4. also fins are useless never use fins
  5. here have this ship my invention as Cratus III i hope your computer can handle it this thing will take you to 7650m/s
  6. my first 5 were miserable failures

  10. Welcome to KSP Forum. the tips your looking for are make as much use of the symmetry tool as possible be generous with the SAS modules in the long run liquid engines are better. but solid boosters give that extra thrust you might need (good for take off) dont get top heavy- when you get top heavy at around 5k to 10k you begin to tip. if a designs stops working it might be time to rethink lightweight is best. but heavyweight is fun. i hope you find these use full
  11. ok i have something which might compare to letums i have named her Cratus Mark III (developing Mark IV) although i have not tried to put it in orbit here be its stats only vanilla Parts stops Burning fuel at 1801K after 14 minutes (on full) and hits a top speed of 7650.5m/s it has *43 Initial engines (12 Solid fuel & 31 Liquid engines) * a total 18 stages * 30 solid rocket boosters at different stages (not including 1st 12) * a total of 157 fuel tanks * 2 secondary engines (engines which start after i have used up the the 43 others) *flies straight (which is sometimes rare for a big ship) *uses 32 SAS modules * a lot of struts! it barely scrapes past the tower. here be my photos the first photo is the 1st stage engines the second is proof that the giant hulk of fuel and engines can take off the third is the thing next to the tower the last is at its peak now onto Cratus Mark IV!
