these photos were taken using Ksp 0.12 the craft file doesn\'t exist anymore

To the Moon- no On the moon- no on the moon safely -yes I use a lithobreaking technique where i use a fuel tank and engine to slow the rocket down to a complete halt and land on the moon. i then let the rocket fall onto its wheels. it doesnt matter if the fuel tank is damaged it is close to empty anyway. the photos i have attached show two Kinds of rovers (one earlier version and a later version) they both used the same landing technique which proved to be the most reliable. Earlier version Later version (notice the things put in place to prevent parts breaking off)

Sure. C7-Nova SE 0.9 Its C7 Fuel bodies with C7 wings. you need to keep the Rover small as the larger it is the more chance something with break off. The lander legs at the end were placed because i would constantly break the engine off from accidentally flipping. only a small engine is required as you only need Horizontal speed. Vtol is necessary to keep the Rover from flipping if it is thrown in the air. The Rover can go up to 32 m/s on the floor but it is advised not to go above 10m/s. The Rover uses a lithobreaking technique to land. do you have any specific questions?
-
the problem with that is the game probably wont like the high rotation speeds which would generally lead to glitches. Also just noticed that the PO was asking for advice on how to make one so i shall post a photo of a successfull design which uses c7 and SE and Probodobdyne kit make sure its got a wide area. also make sure there is enough protection protecting the front and the back as its common that the rovers spin out of control
-
you mean the Axle? mmm i dont think it will work. the way collision meshes work in KSP would make it exceedingly difficult. also at high speeds the wheel is bound to cause issues.
-
omnivore has made small rover wheels. and i pushed the idea to Nova but he didnt sound very keen. The problem he was worried about is that wheels are not functional.

ok updating. if you are familiar with the island of kersica- the ability to fly to that island would be medium range i am aware i have huge difficulty just perfecting the VTOL -

Ok updated. once Trbinsc Posts his Fuel Consumption and cost report i will rank the rockets related to the fuel consumption compared to Satellite Payload. also New challenge has been Posted. the Construction of A medium range Vtol Attack Aircraft this might be interesting -

Tim Barret. I agree With your point and i will make sure the rules are set along those lines Nooblet68 Well done. one question though Does your rocket have a name? -

//Welcome to the R.R.D.K.Q.C. please take a seat. //As you may have heard the KDDM* has requested that our company Supply them with Rockets which meet certain bench marks. As this is the first official task set to the R.R.D.K.Q.C. I shall explain the Rules. 1)only parts packs that have been specified are allowed 2) Three screenshots must be supplied (one at launch, one in the middle and one of the Craft reaching the set benchmark 3) Craft file must be provided 4) when submitting a rocket you must provide the Rocket Name and what challenge you completed 5) by submitting a rocket you are also applying for a position at R.R.D.K.Q.C. If you do not currently hold a position (General workforce-Rocket Development Devision) 6) any challenge that allows separate packs must be completed without the mixing of individual parts (with exception to Atmospheric Aircraft Challenges). for example you cannot place a C7 fuel tank in front of a SE engine. if you would like a parts Pack to be added to a challenge please let me know (these are separate rockets) The KDDM* would like -A rocket capable of releasing a satellite into a circular orbit (SE, KW Challenger,Probodobdyne or stock) - The better Rocket will be Decided on the weight of the satellite to the amount of fuel used - Post the total weight of the satellite and the amount of fuel used to lift the satellite into an orbit -A rocket which exceeds 12000m/s (stock or SE) -An ATV which is able to travel long distances across land (c7,SE,Nova Protodyne) -This is broken up into two catagories. Munar and Earth. -A long distance Heavy ordinance bomber capable of dropping large payloads (c7,SE and any bomb pack that is Necessary) -Distance and payload Decides the better design- it is a requirement to post both -A Medium Distance Attack Aircraft with Vtol Capabilities. -Aircraft must land. -Aircraft will be marked on Payload, gliding and speed More challenges to follow The Top Designs will Feature in the First Edition oF R.R.D.K.Q.C. Spacecraft Exchange. Happy Blasting! *KDDM -Kerbal department of Defence and Munitions LeaderBoard wont be Updated until after the 28th of december LeaderBoard Bomber Challenge ------------------------------------ Plouch B111 b -total of 5 Bombs to a distance of 2/3 of kearth- Iamwearingpants ------------------------------------ Satellite Challenge ------------------------------------ Lifter 1- Trbinsc - lifts a satellite which weighs 1.055 Lifter 2-Trbinsc - lifts three satellites into three different orbits each weighing 2.5- or 0.3 -stock MassSatelliteReleaseSystem I-Nooblet68-56 800 to get 6.8 Tonnes of satellite’s into space (56 800:6.8) KerbalCommunications-Alchemist- 22LFT (11000) to lift three satellites weighing 1.4 each. -stock parts except sats (11000:1.4*3)

is it below 1000m? it needs to be above the KSC terrain -
Just a question of interest. does anyone have a MAC Version of Project Zomboid and would it be possible that you could make the version available to me i plan on buying the game but i have to wait a while until a whole bunch of stuff is sorted. if you dont know what project zomboid it is this http://projectzomboid.com/blog/ thanks

you need to change the name. everytime i see this title i am thinking 'Surprise'

This is my Munar Rover II I do have an improved version but i dont have any pictures available the lander legs are there to protect the engine in the case of flippage. landing skids are necessary to protect the RCS Fuel Tanks in the Case of Flippage and the nose cone is there as a 1 chance protection in the case of flippage. the mun is dangerous and still has alot of problems. most particularly the textures on the moon are not flush which result in flippage if you are traveling over 10m/s

haha very funny well i have lost interest in this challenge it seems that 1165 is the limit. although i did enjoy this challenge and i liked being one of the major contributors on a note to C7. i was thinking maybe working a new pair of smaller wheels which can fit under a smaller a body the wheels would actually be two but would count as only one part with a mesh which looks like this ___________ / \ / \ / \ / \ /_________________\ wheels at the bottom obviously also maybe a Coupler part which allows Radially attached engines without the whole Decoupler thing just an idea -
my usual ritual is to orbit the Mun a few times correcting the small things so that i will land my hush puppy as close to a cluster of small mountains as i can.

firstly i would like to apologise, i didn\'t realise you didn\'t know that if anything mentioning the Creator or original designer is manners more then anything. Im currently working on something when it gets finalised i will post it. although we are definitely hitting a barrier. mm tosh for me its speed. whats happening is the base cant keep up with the wings. and so they get ripped off also having an aircraft that jettisons isnt worth the weight that it will add to the ship. (you would need the biggest collection of engines just to make up for the decoupler and landing wings) -

for a second i thought i had already posted my next ship but then i realised that Tosh had taken my design. i present to you Exodus II Can Travel up to 1111 but thats abit hard to screenshot. A rough Landing Btw Tosh next time you steal my design i would like a mention somewhere that you basing it off something i have created. its a little insulting that you take my design, add an engine an rename it without a mention to me eat a dick tosh -

for the general public i will release The Valiance, The Seeker X1, the KX-15m, The Zepher and the Black Mumba. the exodus will not be released to the general public until i have finished developing an alternative version (shh top secret) but if asked to by the Challenge poster i will release these files. All files need C7 and silisko KSP Also as a request to the Challenge poster under the entry of the KX-15m could you please enter my name as Damnonjay/omnivore (it was a team event) cheers
