The in game tutorial "To the Mun, Part 1" is quite good, if you follow the instructions it gives you. If by "tried all the tutorials" you mean looked on YouTube or the wiki that is, other wise ignore this haha

That's a nice shot, liking the lights on the bottom

When to deploy parachutes
RocketYeah replied to FirstyB's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I usually deploy mine when I'm below 2000m/s in the atmosphere or around 10,000m. I try and avoid any breaking due to the sudden force of the parachutes by using struts quite a bit on bits that look like they may rip apart. I've used drogue chutes a couple times but only on Duna, but I guess they'd be useful on Kerbin, deploying them quite early in your decent. -
A must buy for sure! I remember downloading the demo, not even playing it, deleting it, and then buying the full game seconds later haha!

Cool! Some nice camera angles used too

I think for me, the new terrain on the Mun has given me the confidence to try and land something on a more mountainous area on Minmus, whereas before I just stuck to the flat ice lake type areas

RocketYeah replied to Maxmaps's topic in 2013
Yep, just seen announcement pop up on Facebook 18:00 CDT 23:00 GMT -
I think it has got easier but it's probably more down to skill of the player than to how updates have effected the difficulty, having said this I only began playing in .17, it took me a good few months to be able to do a 3 Kerbal Mission to the Mun, I could do a one manned mission easily, in fact i'd gotten to Duna before I could land 3 Kerbals on the Mun haha So i'd say down to skill of player and how ambitious the thing is you're trying to land.

Resources are planned if that's what you mean A while a go they showed some early tests on map view resource locations on a live stream if my memory is correct.

I also enjoyed this, I like your Pegasus design, reminds me of a boat I'm impressed you haven't given up yet with all your unplanned disassembling, keep going!

I had to do 3 trips to LKO for my rocket to Duna as I wasn't sure how much fuel I would need, had just finished when I accidentally hit space bar and decoupled the capsule, I wasn't best pleased at the time haha
-
Cheers Was a lot easier that way!

A first attempt by myself at recreating a Kerbal in Lego, was quite happy with how he turned out, if I had more light green pieces the head would have been closer to the actual Kerbal face colour

Nice! The perspective is looking really good as well, that's the tricky bit, I hate perspective haha, good job!

Auto Maneuver Planner
RocketYeah replied to Hoagster35's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I like the trial and error that you currently have to do, I just make sure to take a pic of map view once I have the maneuver set up correctly to get to a planet, that way I roughly know the positions I'll need next time -
Nice work, already some great stuff going on! I wish you many a great explosion
-
Apologies if this has been suggested before but I had a quick search and couldn't see anything (awkward if a similar thread was right underneath this one) haha Anyways, I was in the Tracking Station recovering some debris I had littered around from a failed shuttle style space plane and was getting tired of the constant click, recover e.c.t. I think it would be good to have a multiple selection method, where you could highlight all the stuff you wanted to recover or terminate, and do it all together saving precious time that could be spent exploding things If this is already an option and I've been stupid enough to miss it, I would appreciate being told how to do it haha!

It's almost a silly thing to admit, but sometimes while playing KSP...
RocketYeah replied to JRF2k's topic in KSP1 Discussion
As others have said, well said! KSP, shows us the great desire to explore. Kerbin itself is great to draw parallels from of how lucky we are on earth, I find this feeling to be summarized rather well in the Apollo 8 Astronauts reading from the book of Genesis during the Earth rise from the moon basically saying we are so small in the vastness of space and have so much to be thankful for on this "good earth". -
What do you think about new KSP 0.22 preview viido?
RocketYeah replied to Pawelk198604's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Definitely going to find Sub-assemblies so useful! Love how they are showing features for the new update, get's me all excited d'awh -
It had happened again. I have felt this before with other games that I love, Fallout 3 is a good example, the first time leaving the Vault and coming out into the wasteland was so exciting and new, everything felt untouched and there was so much to see, then after many hours that feeling went away, it doesn't matter how many times I tried and restarted I never got that same feeling I had the first few times I played. I thought the same thing happened with Kerbal Space Program, even though I enjoyed it so much, I could never get that feeling of wonder that I had when I first landed on the Mun, or managed to make a circular orbit. For me it was know different to any other game I had played, or that's what I thought. Yesterday I decided not to go on a big mission, in fact I thought I'd just send a simple one manned rocket up into a low orbit around Kerbin, so that's what I did. The launch went well, Jeb seemed quite content with it all and I got into orbit, nothing unusual just the same old stuff, I decided I might as well EVA Jeb so he could have a float, and then it hit me. As Jeb was floating outside the rocket, with Kerbin below, I suddenly realised the awesomeness of where he actually was, the brilliants of this game and of all you could achieve, the vast unlimited missions however simply you could fly, I basically had the same feeling I had felt when I first started the game almost a year ago. To me that's what makes KSP a great game, no matter how far you go or what you do, you can still experience that feeling of wonder and excitement know matter how long you have been playing, all you have to do is look, and at least for me, not many games can achieve this. So thanks Squad and everyone involved for such a great game!

Returning from other planets, I always seem to underestimate the fuel required and have to send a rescue mission.
