Yeah, Rich has integrated kerbalmaps into Telemachus dev builds. I've considered writing an in game client that uploads all craft position/velocity to kerbalmaps, allowing users to visualize their own savegames, and share them with others. I made the maps for fun, so far there's been plenty of low hanging fruit to pick. A feature like that requires considerably more effort with less visible results. I'm not yet convinced that's something I want to do. It's different for every savegame, and we'd need to first get the data into a format Leaflet is familiar with. GeoJSON looks promising. I've been meaning to make the map data public but whenever I have time to work on the project I usually spend it working on new features and squashing bugs, if only because it's more interesting. This is a forum adaptation of a game I saw once before played by bloggers or users of a social network. If anybody is away of it's origin put a link and I'll include the oldest known one on this post. Anyways, the idea is pick any kind of super power for yourself. Then, in order to ensure it's moar super you must make the previous poster's mundane by reframing the context or adding some kind of condition or weakness that makes it useless, or even hazardous to one who possesses it. Here's an example: The power to move faster than a locomotive, while boarded on said locomotive. The ability to stretch my body into any shape. I'll go first. The ability to see the any wavelength on the electromagnetic spectrum.
-
More specifically, it's one of the terrain scatters. Like the rocks on most bodies, or the flora on Kerbin.

Congrats on your first Mun landing! With some notable exceptions you now have the knowledge and skills to go anywhere and do anything in the game! I'm not sure I understand the distinction you've made between your previous goal of "land on the Mun" and any future ones. Has the Mun landing expanded scientific understanding, inspired a generation, or turned a profit? In it's current state the motivation behind all missions, and in fact entire space programs, is because some player thought it would be awesome. If you had fun with the challenges you've had so far, you'll probably continue to do so with those that await. Here are some ideas: Build a communications or positioning array of satellites, and understand the relevant orbital mechanics Put a rover on another celestial body and drive it around Assemble a space station made of two or more modules in orbit around Kerbin Build a base on another celestial body Execute a landing and return mission in which the lander decouples from the service module, dock again before heading home. Land on both Mun and Minmus, then return to Kerbin in a single mission Flyby one or more planets or their moons Orbit one of the other planets or one of their moons Land on another planet or one of their moons Fly a plane for more than 15 minutes, then land Build an SSTO spaceplane Take an SSTO spaceplane to Layhe, land on it, then return to Kerbin. You can dock with interplanetary drive section, or not! Land on and return from Eeloo, Moho, Tylo, or Eve (in order of least to greatest delta V) Don't be discouraged, there is much to do yet!

Figured I'd mention the maps of all KSP celestial bodies are ready. Thanks everybody for voting.

Not sure where you got that image, exported from the game resources or user created? In any case I cant get Jool or Sun maps form the API with neither the CreateMaps function, nor can I get surface data for them. It's unlikely they will be mapped by the project if it cant be done programatically. Not at this time. The source is available but getting all the map tiles is non-trivial. It's 122850 pngs totaling about 1.7GB.

Yes, forgot to mention I was listening for anything anomalous during my expiditon as well. (-0.0005, -31.8825 is not the location of the known sound-emitting object) Browser and os with version numbers? You're the fourth user (of several thousand) to get this bug but I cant replicate it for the life of me.

Please share your expedition with us, I get the locations straight from game data so I've not had a chance to visit it myself. The name of the object in the game is SPOILER Pyramid SPOILER. Edit: Put a flight capable rover down and investigated the surrounding terrain and skies, found nothing. Until I can confirm something is there, I'm removing it from the map.

You voted and you got it. I've added Duna and thrown in Ike for free! Eve and Gilly are next, followed by Laythe.

6/10. Grading on a curve where 5 is (what I very unscientifically guesstimate is) the mean fame of all users. I've seen you on the dev boards.

Great! I'm nearly finished with the body and legend widgets, once they are done I'm planning on sharing the project on github and welcome any contributions. Soonâ„¢ Priorities are: Rewrite body widget Share leaflet plugins on github Cleanup ksp plugin code Write a quick how-to doc for generating maps from plugin output Share plugin and guide on github/forums Add more bodies / implement more features

The 909 has the best ISP of all the stock chemical rockets, its also 1/3 the mass of the aerospike and is stackable. If you really wanted to pack light and conserve fuel you could use a lander with an LV-N on all the bodies except Tylo and lug around a big tank for the transfers, leaving it in orbit for the landings.

Hitchhiker Crew Container~

Try left clicking on a hatch. Also you can send a Kerbal on EVA by clicking on the button that appears on their thumbnail on the bottom right when you hover the cursor over it. -
723 m/s is my top speed manned dragster. Though I know its still short of bring the current record holder.

The large range of delta V requirements for Moho comes from it's orbital eccentricity. If you meet up with Moho at it's periapsis you're going much faster, so you need to slow down more to achieve an orbit. The inverse is true when encountering Moho at it's Ap.

Moho should be in the same class as Eeloo, not Jool

SESRV: Smallest Eve Sample Return Vehicle
saik0 replied to SunJumper's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
OK I've poked around a bit. There are no places above 5km that drop off steeply enough to be anywhere near sea level. If you want to land at any of the peaks, be prepared for a long drive. -
SESRV: Smallest Eve Sample Return Vehicle
saik0 replied to SunJumper's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Never bothered to measure. Eve is coming up on my list of map tiles to make, I could tell you sometime next week when it's done.
