  1. Imagine the life insurance payouts for losing Kerbals... Maybe if you are maliciously killing them, your space program shuts down.. game over. Come on, show some Kerbal love.
  2. I like the idea. It will make it more realistic. Having to plan for launch windows makes an additional challenge. I think.
  3. Break our brake? Either way, it is pretty efficient to use the ground to brake your decent, but it still break your lander. I end up with around 400 too 700 Dv ratio chew through before I get to where I want
  4. The read outs and vessel info are great. I usemechjeb a lot because I am doing other things while ascending, transferring, ect. Like editing you tube videos or watching Scott manleys recent adds
  5. LOL Yeah, you are basically building this rocket to move fuel into orbit. Sometimes LESS is a lot more. It could be the connection above the orange tanks is breaking. Not catastrophically, but enough downward force to make the lower stages disconnect and become debris.
  6. You might want to do a command/interplanetary module and a second Lander module. Get into orbit, undock, land, science, take off and rendezvous/dock. That way you are not moving heavy loads. Maybe save that delta v for the return
  7. Oh man, I saw that when I landed once but I thought it was a bug. Then I forgot about it.
  8. There are so many ways to science. If you are having trouble getting to the Mun or Minmus, try going around too each biome on Kerbin. That could round out the tier two nodes or further
  9. I have put them on my rover to apply downforce to keep it in contact with the terrain. Best on minmus
  10. Ahhh. Okay. I will try that tonight. Should I then not be time accelerating while I am in command of the science station then? I guess I will find out tonight. That would be nice. It would alleviate any questions about science being transmitted.
  11. I did a quick search, but I haven't been able to find what I am looking for. How does the science from the lab convert into science points in the research building? Here is the back story: . I have a science lab, reactor/generator, and communications module in orbit around Minmus. The science output is about .3/day. I don't see that being added into my science pool. Am I missing a part (perhaps the computer core)? Or just not doing the correct things to transfer the science?
  12. Check out my career mode using the Interstellar Mod with tech tree integration. I am still trying to figure out how to turn science from the science module into actual science points in the research lab however. It doesn't appear to be automatic.
  13. I think having to bring two types of fuel and extra power to run the.ions defeats the purpose. At least rcs is versatile.
  14. Eve, but I wanted a circular orbit, but instead I got a probe impactor...
  15. My fiance is ready to leave me due to ksp. Playing her games is just not as rewarding. Oh well.
  16. Wow, this is very impressive. Nice job. Eve makes a nice backdrop for screen shots too.
  17. I've made a decent rover with deck plates with a gap inbetween them where i put all the electronics and it worked well and was pretty light. It didnt perform that well on minmus due to being so light and without any downforce. it's on one of my videos in the link in my sig
  18. At launch, if a tank doesn't have an engine, it is working against you. That is why asparagus staging works so well. At launch, it's the most critical because that is the heaviest your rocket will ever be. If you have a good TRW, you can mitigate the malus though.
  19. I usually time warp to empty batteries because I forget to extend my solar panels
  20. I have to say: I love the career mode. I think it mostly makes sense. It gave me new reasons to forget about real life and play ksp for hours on end. It will only get better from here.
