KSP automators idea!
BostLabs replied to RawChicken's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
You are wanting something that you can script if I understood you properly. -
My Vic20 had a lot of use with a game called Jupiter lander I think. Very lunar lander type game. Close to the old lunar lander arcade game that I pumped tons of quarters into. That was 82 or 83. I was 22 or 23 at the time. You are only as old as you let yourself be.

53. I wish I had more time to work on my missions. Work and adult life get in the way a lot. A couple of hours maybe two evenings out of the week if I'm lucky. I spend a lot of time just starting over. LOL. I've been to the Mun and Minmus a lot. I think I finally got a ship that can go interplanetary now. I need to bolt on some reusable landers and I will ready to test it. I've been a geek/nerd for a long time. Oh and get off my lawn.
-
Ahh! I see, I misunderstood. Hard to tell snarky comments from legitimate questions sometimes. No harm, no foul. I'm sorry for jumping you. Carry on.
-
Eh! Who needs life support anyway?
-
Things are about to get bad. Time to grab the helmet.
-
Woo! Needs a shave! LOL!
-
Man, it's like he's really there. Nice, really nice.
-
Oh come on. Can't you give him points for what he did? It won't blend an iPhone either. LOL! Nice job Foamy! Looks like you angled the rear engines on 3 different axis? I like the last bit.
-
Ummm no, it will get him there without the frustration. You can use MJ as much or as little as you want/need. MJ is a tool, use it or not. It isn't just push a button and you are there, that's hyperedit. . MJ still requires you to plan. Never understood the hair shirt attitude that a lot of users here have about a sandbox game. It's. like saying that you should walk to work every day. Yes I can walk 20 miles, I've done it in the Marine Corps, it takes a long while and try doing that in 118 f degrees in the summer here in Phoenix. No thanks, I'll use my tool for that. That tool is my car. And it has cruise control and A/C. I get to work in good time and I'm not a stinky, smelly mess to boot. Don't like MJ? Great then don't use it, but stop telling others how to play the game. They are not cheating anyone, especially you.

It was a beautiful day for a flight. Jeb checked his restraints one last time by giving them a tug. "Just a nice easy flight to the Mun." Jeb thought with a huge grin. In fact, other than a few probes, this will be the first journey to that body and Beagle Flight was doing it. As the count down clock continued to roll down to zero, Jeb thought back on how Beagle Flight came about. Back in the old, exciting (highly dangerous and deadly) days when the space program started up. Beagle Flight, formed of Jeb Kermin, Bill Kerman and Bob Kerman, became the premier group of test pilots. Ok, they also happened to be the only group to survive, but why be picky about terminology about that? Since that time, only recently, Bill had an accident and had to retire. Jeb and Bob are saddened that their friend will not be with them on this historic flight. Beagle I sits on the pad. Jeb knew that a lot of refining had taken place to get this ship into this configuration. The engines were a fairly new design and had done quite well as the didn't blow up.... very often. But even with the new engines Jeb knew that this ship will only get him into orbit. Bob will be following him up in Beagle II and they would dock and then travel to the Mun. Jeb and Bob had flipped a coin on how would get to land on the Mun. Jeb won (didn't even use his two head coin) and had chosen to land on the Mun. Bob would wait in orbit. But Jeb thought he had a way around that so Bob could land as well. "Beagle I this is mission control." "Mission Control, Beagle I." Jeb replied. "Beagle I you are go for launch." Gene Kerbin radioed back. "Just another flight.... Even though it is Jeb, just another flight." Gene thought to himself. In the distance, Bob watched as his ship was in it's standby position on it's transportation pad, ready to move into place on the launch pad after it was cleared. "We're going to the Mun!" Bob thought, over and over and over again. Beagle Flight continues.

Yea excellent job. I remember my first orbit with my own build. It's orbit was a bit odd but it was stable, my ship didn't fly apart or explode... It was a good day.

katateochi, Thank you for the details of your video. I remember thinking that there was no way you could have pulled off the dock/landing of the ship with just MJ's landing guidance. The entire mission was awesome but that part just blew my mind.

hmm.. Not sure if I can answer the poll yet. But keep writing, I'm reading.

Very nice. I like the choice of music too.

Very cool idea! Nice! -
[AAR][Pic Heavy] Race to Space | Now with Chapter Eight!
BostLabs replied to Scorpi15's topic in KSP Fan Works
Nifty! I like how you came up with your own gantry. -
I'm no rocket scientist (hehe snort) but I think, if I'm reading this correctly, the reaction wheels are not cross fuel capable. I don't have the game with me right now so if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me. Can you put the reaction wheels on top of the tanks instead of between the tank and the engine?

Kerbal pug space program mission log [pic heavy]
BostLabs replied to 19spacepug's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Writing anything of value, even if it is only for you (but you are sharing with us so it is for more than you) will make you improve in both typing skills and grammar. (Spell check helps too.) Please do continue. I look forward watching you improve. -
LOL! Remind me to not sit by you in the theater then. I'd be constantly telling you to shut up and let me enjoy the movie.

[AAR] The Grand Tour - Voyage To The Planets
BostLabs replied to czokletmuss's topic in KSP Fan Works
Nope. I'm saying he caused his own death by being a pig head, glory seeking, out do Jeb by all and any means. I just wonder how long it will be before Jeb realizes that the only reason Bob selected him for the mission is so he could witness Bob's greatness and be there for Bob to rub it/grind it into his face. Bob paid the ultimate price for his pride and ego. It didn't have to be that way, but it is the path he chose. It is sad that he had to die, but it is nobodies fault but his own. He didn't live to see his glory or rub it in Jeb's face. He left a huge mess for Jeb and crew to clean up. There is a lesson there guys. Off soapbox... Excellent story czokletmuss! -
Go for it! I'll read it. Needs pictures and explosions. Ok maybe just pictures.... and explosions
