[Closed] KSP Experimental Tester Applications! Thanks to all who applied!
DannySwish replied to Ted's topic in 2015
Do you know of a timeframe in which successful applicants will be selected/notified? -
How the hell should I be transferring the fuel that my ore outposts are producing? The best I can come up with is a rover that has a claw which drives back and forth between the two, but I'm terrible at making decent rovers. Has anybody come up with something more useful? I think it'd be cool if I could make a landing pad that, once landed on, was capable of refueling a ship. No idea how I would go about this, as every ship's design and height is different. My take is that Squad should introduce some kind of kerbal-operated fuel transfer hose that can be hooked up to fuel tanks from ship A to ship B.

Come take a look at my friend's stream if you're bored and are in the mood for general faffing about, like sick Monstercat beats, enjoy New Zealand accents, or any combination of the above. Twitch - Ginotuch's Channel See ya there~. CURRENT STATUS: OFFLINE

I don't know if this has been said yet, but another way that the current LV-N's could be considered as "cheaty" is that they use regular old LiquidFuel, rather than actual nuclear fuel. Most of the time, this probably wouldn't make a big difference (unless the use of real nuclear fuel requires certain equipment, weighs significantly more, etc.), but could be considered an unrealistic benefit to ships that use other regular boosters, since you can transfer the fuel between these without a problem.

My burns are rarely long enough to let me go do something else. I just warp it up to as fast as it can get without catastrophically destroying itself, while tweaking the attitude ever so slightly the entire time. I just daydream, I guess.

1. You could add a small probe core in the correct orientation on the rover and either make that the parent part, or manually right-click it once in-flight and select "Control from here." 2. You can move kerbals around and place them wherever you wish before launching by selecting the third blue tab at the top (next to the one for action groups). Be aware that due to a bug, the positions you set might reset if you go off to do something else afterwards. Only swap them around once you're ready to hit the launch button. (This bug might've been fixed in the .24 update, I haven't checked.) 3. It'd probably be easier if you were to include the craft file so we could tell you how to make your ship more efficient/cost effective.

A friend mentioned it in passing on a Minecraft server that I regular, saying that it was finally on Steam, and, since anything involving the word "Space" instantly grabs my attention, I immediately went to see what it was. I had the demo for maybe ten minutes before I bought the full game. Here we are, 329 game hours later. All I need is a return trip from Laythe, Eeloo, and Eve, and I'll have landed everywhere (except Jool, obviously) and returned safely.

Shouldn't everybody use the same satellite?
-
Specialty? Uhhh, I guess something special-ish that most people don't do is I dock my craft using the main engines only. I never put RCS on anything anymore.

Well, that's it. Tylo landing and re-orbit achieved, and the stream is over. Thanks for stopping by~
-
Just an update: In Tylo orbit; things are now actually interesting.

I'm streaming on Twitch for no particular reason, feel free to stop by if you're really that bored. No live commentary, but I will respond to chat. http://www.twitch.tv/dannysweesh
