Just found this KSP trailer of Gravity: http://youtu.be/3utRZdCJ9iQ

Welcome! You've accomplished all that already? That's pretty impressive. Your satellite looks great, too. For the fun of it, I'll give you the brief n00b's guide to landing on the Mün (even though you're obviously capable already): •There is no atmosphere on the Mün. PARACHUTES WILL NOT WORK. (Yes, people have done this.) •The surface of the Mün is uneven and it is very, very unlikely that you will happen to land at "sea" level, so this means that the sea-level oriented altimeter at the top of the screen will be lying to you. There is a radar altimeter inside of the cockpit, accessible by pressing 'C' •Attempt to land on the light side; landing (especially for the first time) in the dark is no fun. That's all I can think of right now. Good luck

Even better the second time! Apparently a swastika is this but inverted, so pretend I took the screenshot from the opposite side. This is the same orbiter from the last time this happened, but it's had quite a few changes made to it. This time it turned out this shape because I accidentally didn't add all of the solar panels to the action group I created...

I'll just stick with my theory of it being a giant, green styrofoam ball. Mint ice cream also sounds pretty good.

I can already picture a trailer parody of Gravity with kerbals in it. Hehehe. Do want. I loved the movie. BULLOOOOOOOOCCCCKKKKKKK

This movie was great. Go see it, all of you. -
Am I the only one who's creeped out by the Mun?
DannySwish replied to Odo's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Never thought of the bodies as creepy or anything. In fact, I'm in love with the peace-and-quiet feel you get from them. -
I remember trying to get to the Mün. It seemed impossible. It gets easier. A lot easier. Like, extremely easy. Take it step by step. Get orbiting down pat, and once you're good at that (try to actually do it yourself, watch Scott Manley tutorial videos on this), use maneuver nodes to get to the Mün. You could go to Minmus first as someone else suggested, but I would recommend going for the Mün. The reason being that landing is another step altogether, and you should learn to actually get an encounter first (in my opinion). You'll likely either fly past it or smash into it, but at least you got within the vicinity of it. You can use F5 to quicksave once you're within the sphere of influence (SOI for short), and try as many times as you like to either get into orbit, land, or both (through reloading by holding F9), as long as your ship is physically able to do these maneuvers. Best of luck.

How do I post a Screenshot?
DannySwish replied to LtHeckard's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I find using a service like imgur.com is the easiest way to get images in a forum. You can create an account (which will allow you to find the link to or delete the picture later), but you don't have to. What you do is you upload your pic to that site, and use the "BBCode" link, the one that has the IMG /IMG at either end. You simply paste this link into a post, and the picture will appear. -
What would happen to this community if pewdiepie played KSP?
DannySwish replied to notfruit's topic in The Lounge
Exactly. While it probably wouldn't be the majority, there are bound to be intelligent, mature people that like some of PewDiePie's content. I happen to be one of those people (minus the intelligence bit, perhaps), though, to be fair, he has gotten a bit too goofy for me. His older Amnesia videos are the ones I find genuinely entertaining. Regardless, I doubt that a large amount of immature people will spring up and ruin the world. Kids who are too young to be sensible are also probably too young to buy the game on their own, and, thanks to the demo, will either find they don't like the game, or discover that this has something for them. In that situation, they're more likely to be someone who can type a coherent sentence. I see little reason to worry. -
I accidentally made what was supposed to be an innocent Jool station... this: I swear I didn't mean to. :3

Failed mission to the Mun, back when I was a noob. I made a thread regarding this, but it was destroyed in the forum derp of April '13. -
Navball improvement
DannySwish replied to Blauerdaemon's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
You have no idea how much I want this. I think I might've suggested it before, but this would be immensely helpful. I'm always wasting time swinging my ship around to find vectors. -
The title says it all; Maneuver nodes that you've spent time struggling and tweaking with should really be saved when you quicksave. On numerous occasions, I end up making the desired node to get me wherever I'm trying to go, but then something catastrophic happens (like a nuclear engine breaking off due to the buggy fairings) and I'm forced to quickload and lose the node(s) that took me a good chunk of time to perfect. I ask that when you quicksave, if you have any nodes at the time, they should be saved along with everything else, and loaded along with everything else. Thanks for reading.

It's a good idea. -
Long load times on black loading screen

The loading is definitely slower now. -
Tweak the Recovery and Revert Options
DannySwish replied to DannySwish's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Sorry, I didn't word this well. (5AM) What I meant to ask was why we aren't able to revert a flight anywhere but during that specific flight. What if I want to revert it later? Then this brings on the whole "why is there a Revert option anyway, End Flight makes more sense if you want to be able to have a redo" thing. -
Something that bugs me a bit is how to recover a finished flight. I have to exit all the way to the Tracking Station, select my flight, and select "Recover". It just takes an unnecessary amount of work when that 'Recover' button could be added to the pause menu (if you're within range of KSC, of course). I'd be fine with keeping the 'Terminate' option in the Tracking Station only as a precaution. Another thing: Reverting. Why am I only able to revert at that very moment when I mess up, and not at any other time (in terms of exiting to the Space Center or Tracking Station)? I've already accidentally gone to KSC without reverting anything (by leaning forward and my midsection clicking my trackpad) and ended up losing the kerbals involved. I think the whole idea of reverting is flawed in this way. Why should you be allowed to do this in Career mode, anyway? If we want to keep it, why allow it only immediately after crashing? Why should the whole death-of-kerbals thing matter in Sandbox mode? (I am unsure if the kerbals will eventually respawn or not. Don't know what happens if you run out of them, if you even can...) Just some things to think about.

Good luck with that
